Naruto POV

Hinata stared at Himawari as she colored on the floor with a bright smile. Completely oblivious of the recent events that had occurred. Hinata was no longer crying now, she now was just holding a worried look. As she stared at our beautiful little girl, that's something we both agree on. We both want what's best for our family, she was putting our daughter first before her own feelings. Hinata sighed, "why didn't you tell me" she asked quietly so Himawari couldn't hear. "Hinata...Sasuke and I-" I began, "I'm not talking about Sasuke..." she almost snapped as she turned to me.

For a moment, I thought she was gonna start crying again when her lips quivered. Her fist clenched in her lap, "why...why didn't you tell me you had a son" her voice was broken and her eyes distraught. I looked at her with wide eyes, "what are you talking about" I asked, a bit confused. Hinata gritted her teeth, "don't play dumb with me, I saw the letter he sent you" Hinata almost cried out as she pounded her fists against my chest. While I didn't resist her as she hit my chest hopelessly. I pulled her closer to me, in a comforting embrace.

Hoping that I could calm her down, she relaxed in my arms but her body still softly shook as tears had streamed down her face.  "How come you never told me....I would've understood..we could've...we could've raised them together....did you..did you not trust me" Hinata began rambling quietly. I pet her hair slowly, "Hinata...it's not that I didn't trust you, it's not that I meant to hide it from you..I just...it's complicated..it's all too complicated..." I whispered. I sighed, "I wanted to tell you, truly I did but you must understand..if I told you, that would've only endangered them more if people found out about them" I explained. "Them" she gasped with furrowed eyebrows for a moment before continuing. "Why does it matter, they're your children..nothing different then Boruto and Himawari" Hinata protested.

"Hinata....it's not that I don't love them...you don't understand..they're not....they're not like Boruto and Himawari..." I explained. "I can't stand this Naruto, why won't you tell me...even now..you're still dodging the question..." Hinata whimpered as she pulled away from me. Curling herself up, I bit my lip as I stared at her vulnerable state. "Hinata.....they...they have a special bloodline..and you of all people should know what people would do for power...as a member of the Hyuga clan and a proud owner of the byakugan..." I explained. Hinata nodded at the comment about her clan and they're powerful bloodline. "Naruto...I may not know the details and why you can't tell me but....I know that you wouldn't do something so extreme without a reason....and that's why I also come to accept that you're in love with..someone else..." Hinata stated as she held her head down low.

I let out a small sigh as I looked at her, I carefully put my hand on top of hers. "Hinata....you're the most beautiful woman..I have ever seen, you're drop dead gorgeous and anyone who says otherwise are dead wrong, even now....I may not have the same feelings for you as I did on our wedding day but the fact still remains....I love you Hinata...I may not love you as a lover but that doesn't make my love for you any weaker...so I hope that we can still be friends and despite our differences...maybe we could still raise all the kids together..." I stated. "As a family" I muttered happily as I leaned against her with a smile plastered onto my face. With those words, Hinata's spirit was finally lifted as she smiled brightly at the idea. Leaning in even closer to me, hugging me as tears of joy rolled down her cheeks. I chuckled quietly, "I'd like that" she whispered back with an unerasable smile.

I grinned at the response, hugging her with just as much passion. As I closed my eyes, imagining how it would be like, if we were all one big family. We're a little rough around the edges but I know that one day we will be one big happy family. If we just give it a chance, I hummed as she suddenly pulled away from me. "What are we gonna do about Boruto" she whispered. "I'm sure, he'll understand, we'll tell him the truth together" I said happily.

Hinata grew quiet after that, I tilted my head in confusion of her lack of a positive response. "Is something wrong Hinata..." I asked, trying my best to read her expressions. Hinata sighed, "that is...unless he finds the truth out by himself first..." Hinata muttered bitterly. I held a shocked expression at those words. "Wh-what do you mean" I asked, desperate to find out why she would say such a thing. Hinata let out a sigh as she pulled out a folded piece of paper.

She took a deep breath in, "this fell out of Boruto's bag when he headed for his mission in the Sand village..it's how I found out anyways..." Hinata stated as she handed the letter to me. I skimmed over the words before widening, remembering what mission I put him on in the Sand village. He said he wanted to visit his Uncle Gaara, I can't believe he lied to me like that. I paused for a second, the reminder that I've been lying to my family for years snacking me in the middle of my forehead. I sighed with a smirk, okay, touché boruto, touché indeed. Very clever as always, I sighed with a groan, well this complicates things.

So that's why you seemed so desperate to get to the Sand village. You wanted to find the truth, you wanted to find your long lost brother. Well I can't blame him, I'd probably do the same if I was in his shoes. If this is meant to be then, I hope you find what you're looking for. I'm sure your siblings will be happy to finally meet you. I stared up at the ceiling as I soon frowned, please Boruto, just promise me that you'll stay safe.
