Shikadai POV
I didn't know how I felt about that answer. But even so, "we can't go looking for him right now, we should meet up with the others...Boruto, we're still on a mission, I'm sorry but the mission comes first" I informed before heading in the direction we last saw the guys. I frowned as I could hear Boruto sighing behind as we ran. I glanced over at Mitsuki, I could tell, even tho he shows little emotion. That he was feeling somewhat concerned about Boruto as he looked over at him. What concerned me the most, was the letter in Boruto's pocket.
I'm not telepathic but whatever was written down definitely seem to bother him greatly. I sighed as the guys soon came to view, almost instantly. Sarada ran over to Boruto and gave him a good lecture about running off without thinking. So on and so forth, I'm just glad it isn't me, I thought to myself. That when Denki was quick to gave our attention, "Guys listen up, I have their address right here" Denki said pointing towards his iPad. Sarada sighed as she turn her attention to Denki while Boruto hid from her lectures.
"Well then, where is it" I asked, "that's the thing, from the looks of it, they're home seems to be on the other side of the village in the back end" Denki explained. I groaned, "what a drag~" I sighed out as we made our way towards the back of the Sand village. It didn't help that everyone kept getting distracted by all the gift shops. The farther we went into the village, the sketchier it got. We were so far into the back end of the village that even the streets turned into a ghost town. Silent without at trace of anyone, most people were crowded in the more lively areas, where the gift shops were.
As we continued, we made a final stop at the stone wall surrounding the whole Sand village. I hummed, "where to next Denki" I questioned, "from the looks of it, they should be right around....there, look up" Denki pointed above us, on the side of the stone wall was a house, craved in. With a small staircase leading up, I was quick to get up the stairs. Knocking on the door, hoping that someone was home. I knocked again as the guys waited behind me until finally. The door had swung open, "well, you're back sooner than-oh...sorry, I thought you were someone else..come inside" the young lady greeted us into her home. We were quickly ushered inside, "I see that your Leaf Shinobi, so are you the escorts, I hear so much about" she asked.
"Yes, we are here to escort you and your brother to the Hidden Leaf village, my name is Shikadai..I'm the Captain of this mission..." I explained. "Ah...I see, well my brother is out at the moment, you won't find him...my little brother has always been on the move" she answered. "He's the more...how should I say..energetic of the two of us while I'm more of a keep to myself type of girl" she explained. I nodded, "are you a shinobi" I questioned, "huh..oh no, I mean..I've trained a bit but not officially, no.....why do you ask..." she questioned my curiosity. "Your mask, why do you cover up then...if you don't mind me asking" I asked out of genuine curiosity. She stayed quiet after that question, looking down at her tea.
"Jeez Shikadai, you didn't need to interrogate her, don't you know talking about a women's body is disrespectful" ChoCho accused. "What, no..I didn't mean it like that, I just-" I rambled only for the girl to hold up a hand. "No no, it's quite fine, it's just that me and my brother have always...oh my, I'm so sorry..where are my manners, I completely forgot to introduce myself" she exclaimed. She set her cup of tea down, "my name is Saki, it's spelled like saki the alcohol but it's pronounced as (Sah-key) so don't you dare confuse me as such" Saki joked with a giggle. "Roger that" Inojin saluted in a joking manner, I nodded. "Understood, well anyways, do you know when your brother will be back, we should be getting on the move soon-" I told her as my side was jabbed at, when I finished.
I glared over, just to meet another glare in return to my surprise. Boruto's eye twitched at me as I sensed his undenying anger towards me. I quickly cleared my throat, "I mean, after we all finish our business here then we'll catch a train" I explained with a sheepish smile. Saki laughed, "good luck with that, the train barely visits our village, if you don't catch it..you're not getting on it" Saki said with a grin as she walked towards the open kitchen. "No one visits our village that often since it's just desert and sand, no one ever wants to leave either, only the Sand Shinobi leaves out on missions, even the older Sand Shinobi rather run then wait for the next train...no else leaves, they stay loyal to this land for these stone walls and our Kazekage has always kept us safe so there's no point in leaving unless you're an adventurous merchant that wants to get caught in a sandstorm" Saki explained in joking tone as she cleaned her cup in the sink.
Sarada POV
"We'll probably be waiting for awhile so make yourself at home, I'm sure my little brother will return soon" Saki stated as she walked back into the kitchen. I'm not one to snoop through other people's things or anything like that. But this girl was really setting me off, it just felt like something was missing. It just gave me a strange feeling and the door that was eerily open was pulling me in. So as the guys sat around the couch and chatted up a storm, I slipped inside the dark room. Closing the door quietly, I felt around for a light switch until I flicked it on.
My mouth was gaping as I stared in shock of what I was seeing. I walked up closer as I adjusted my glasses just to make sure I wasn't seeing anythings. There were pictures, pinned to the wall, pictures of Boruto. Lined up from when he was a baby to his latest birthday pic. Some pictures even had Boruto's mom, Hinata of the Hyuga clan, in them. They even had some pictures of the Seventh Hokage and Konohamaru Sensei.
Even a few pictures with Shikadai's Dad and his family in them. How could they have all these, one thing I did notice was that these were close ups. So maybe not stalker pictures, maybe friends of the Hokage and Kazekage. Strangely enough, I didn't see Saki in any of the pictures. As I looked down the line of pictures on the wall, my trembling hand hit one of the pins on accident. Making one of the pictures float to the ground.
My eyes widen as I crouched down to pick up the pin and picture, I panicked as I quickly put it back in place. Before pausing, I stared at the picture as my mouth soon dropped from utter shock. My body froze as I heard the door open from behind me. "Ya know, it's rude to go in someone's room without their permission" Saki voiced called out from behind me as I stared at the picture before me.
