Denki POV

"This is it, the Hidden Rain Village" I announced to our group. "Are you serious....this place looks so..." Iwabee started, "outdated" I questioned. "You'd think after the war that the Hidden Rain Village would progress, just like the other nations" Iwabee commented solemnly. We're here to find any clues on Urashiki to see if we can get a clear idea where Mitsuki is being kept. "It would be easy to hide in a village like this, ask around, see if the locals have seen anybody matching Urashiki's description" Hanabi stated. "We should spilt up into groups of two" Udon suggested.

"Then Namida and I are a pair, we work well together" Wasabi stated. "Then I'll go with Denki, I can protect him if anything goes south" Iwabee stated, laying his hand on my shoulder. "Then I guess, that just...leave me with you then" Metal said as cheerfully as possible as he timidly walked up to that samurai girl, I think her name is Tsubaki. Kinda felt bad for him, I haven't gotten the chance to meet her so I don't know much about her. Only that she's a exchange student from the Land of Iron, I believe. "Okay, now that that's settled, signal for help immediately if you spot anyone from the Otsutsuki clan" Hanabi ordered and just like that.

We were all split up all around the village, talking to the locals to see if they spotted anything suspicious. Iwabee and I were coming up blank, I was tapping on my tablet, showing pictures of Mitsuki. Seeing if anyone has seen either of them but so far, nothing useful came up. I glanced over at Iwabee, it was at this moment that I realized how alone we were. Being on the outskirts of the village while the others searched around the more populated areas. I just figured that if Urashiki was trying to hide out here, he would hide somewhere less populated.

Somewhere quiet and away from everything, we walked on the empty dim lit dirt road. The village was already pretty dark to begin with but it seemed a little darker now. I wonder if it was because of the grey clouds covering the sky or if it was getting closer to night. Iwabee looked up at the sky, putting his hand on my back. "I think we should get to some shelter" Iwabee suggested, before I could ask why, a loud thunderclap was heard. I watched as a couple droplets landed on my tablet, "the rain will fry my tablet" I blurted out when I realized the danger the rain had on my electronics.

Iwabee snatched the tablet out of my hands and before I could even protest. I was scooped up as he began running down the damping dirt road to find shelter. I didn't have time to process how fast he was able to pick me up and just used my eyes to spot shelter instead. "Over there, there's a barn up ahead down the hill" I shouted, pointing at an old barn out in the dark field. Iwabee slid down the now muddy hill, still managing to not drop me in the mess. He hurried as fast as he could into the old barn to shelter us from the pouring rain.

I guess this village really holds up to their title, I thought to myself. He set me down on some spread out hay before flopping down beside me on the pile of hay. I listened to the rain as droplets hit the roof of the abandoned old barn. There's nothing around here and this barn's roof has holes in it, like no one has been in here for ages to do any repairs. Due to the holes, some of the rain was leaking in, I could only hope that it wouldn't flood the place. I pulled my legs to my chest as I stared up at the hole in the old roof.

"Hey Denki" Iwabee called my name to get my attention, I looked over at him seeing him start to sit up. Pulling something out of his clothes, "here, I hope it isn't too wet, I tried to cover it from the rain" Iwabee said as he handed me my tablet. It has a few droplets on the screen that could easily be wiped away. Other than that it was surprisingly dry, I couldn't say the same about Iwabee and me. Having been drenched, I slightly shivered, pulling my legs closer to try to keep myself as warm as possible. I heard what sounded like wet clothing being thrown to ground that caught my attention.
