Sarada POV
I had finished visiting ChoCho, lucky she didn't have any permanent damage. All she needed was some rest and she will be discharged tomorrow. I was glad, I heard that Shikadai's surgery was successful and was now resting. The rest of us who weren't hurt or hospitalized, decided to meet up after an urgent call from Boruto. How could we have known what we were getting into was running deeper than we thought. The twins were at Denki's house since he was still recovering himself.
He's not in terrible condition but his leg took a bit of a beating back on the train. I was surprised he was able to run back without opening his wound. He should be fine since it was a small cut and hopefully not that deep to leave a scar. Those train tracks can be sharp at times, I shook my head, not the time. I need to head to Boruto, whatever happened it's sound urgent from the sound of his voice. He didn't exactly sound like himself, he sounded angry, I just knew whatever he had to say it wasn't good.
Once I was there, I just stood there silently as he stared at the table. Despite how angry he seemed on the phone, now that I'm seeing him. He didn't seem angry at all just sad, I couldn't understand what had happened, I mean. Shikadai's out of surgery and they say he's going to recover slowly but he's was out of harms way. Everyone was being abnormally quiet since I arrived, Boruto hadn't spoken in a good few minutes. Finally I sat down in front of Boruto, "Boruto, what going on" I asked in a calm voice.
Hoping for Boruto to open up, when I thought he wasn't gonna speak to any of us. I opened my mouth to speak again until I heard it, "what...what was that" I asked not sure what I heard. "My parents are getting a divorce" Boruto stated louder, he was clenching his hands. Until he slapped the table as he stood up, "damn it, what happened when I was gone" Boruto shouted.
Boruto POV
We were fine, I thought we were fine, I know we weren't perfect but why. I just don't get it, why would you do something like this. We may have not been the perfect family but we were still a family. Then I thought about the twins, thinking back when I first got the mission.
~Start Of Flashback
"So, what's the mission" Shikadai asked as he stepped forward. "Your mission is to protect these two people from the Sand village and bring them here to the Hidden Leaf" Shikadai's Dad stated handing both of us a photo of who we would be guarding. I glanced over at Shikadai's photo, it was a girl with raven black hair and bright blue eyes. One eye being covered up by her hair, it was short and she had very pale skin. I looked at my picture, it was a boy with blond spiky hair, it almost looked slinky in a way. He had dark pitch black eyes a hand on his hip with a finger up on his cheek.
I looked up at my Dad as I was done looking over the photos. "Bring as many Genin as you can get, they're very important so failure is not an option, you must protect them at all cost" Shikadai's Dad told us. "Shikadai, you will be in charge of all the Genin so it will be your responsibility alone if something happens to go wrong" My Dad mentioned. "Their twin siblings, they're fifteen years old and they're a vital asset to the Hidden Leaf, we already know that the Otsutsuki clan are after power and mass amounts of chakra...those twins have been born with extraordinary abilities so it's best to keep them close to the Hidden Leaf so they can be under our protection from the Otsutsuki clan's grasp" Shikadai's Dad explained the situation. "So we're both counting on you all to protect and bring them back to the Hidden Leaf village, usually I would be sending Jonins for this but they're already busy with the investigations on Otsutsuki clan already so it will be up to you two to bring them here safely" My Dad finished.
~End Of Flashback
Extraordinary abilities huh, so what, are they meant to be weapons for war. The thought sent a chill down my spine and I clenched my fist in a ball once more. My mind went back to Mitsuki, he's still out there, waiting for us. Haruto is my brother, if that's true that makes that girl my sister. So then is it, a mistress, would he actually go so low as to cheat on mom. To go back to a past lover, no way in hell, I'll never accept it.
He wouldn't, he can't, it doesn't make sense for him to just give up on his marriage. No way in hell am I gonna accept some random bitch, being my mom. I only have one mom and she's perfect, she may get scary at times. But she's always there when I get up in the morning to feed me and care for me. To listen to me when I talk about all the mission I go on. Whether exciting or completely, utterly boring but always there.
Unlike him and now, after everything she's done for this family. He dares turn his back again on us, so much for family, right when I thought he was gonna change. But nothing's changed, all you're doing is making everything worse. I wish.....I wish, you never existed, I wish you never walked in my life thinking it's fine to just walk right out of it. I wish you never made promises of a better life, promises of happier days where we could laugh under the sun. But no, there all lies, you lied to not only me but mom too.
How many secrets are you hiding from her, does she even know that you have a two children that are not her blood. How far are you willing to go until you finally tear this family apart. I'll make you pay for this, no more excuses, I've had enough of them and your lies. "Boruto..." I perked at the sound of my name, looking directly at Sarada. She put her hand on top of my clenched fist, "just...try not to do anything too rash" she whispered. Looking at me knowingly, I didn't say anything after that, just got up and left.
As my friends stared at my back as I left out the door, I don't know what I was planning to do, hopefully get answers.
