~Chapter 7

Sasuke POV

As I was walking towards the hidden leaf I paused, hmm. Strange, I have a bad feeling, I listened to the forest. Nothing but birds chirping and rabbits hopping along. I sighed, why does it feel like something's wrong. I continued walking, oh yeah, I have to meet up with Naruto soon. I looked up at the sky, I wonder how Sarada and Boruto are doing. Hmm, better start running, otherwise I'll be late. I told myself as I began running down the empty path to the Hidden Leaf village. I sighed, no one seems to want to use their legs anymore these days. Not even since the Thunder Train had been created at least. The kids these days have no idea, I thought as I continued forth. It would be a pain in the behind to use my Rinnegan now and it would be just plain lazy.

Boruto POV

I began sweating as we continued running, "how long have we been running" I complained. "Quit your complaining, it's only been an hour, you should be happy that at least the sun isn't burning us anymore" Shikadai snapped back. "We still have a long run to go.....plus, this wouldn't be happening right now if someone didn't get off on the wrong stop" Shikadai said. "Oh shut up, would you just-", "OW", a yell was heard from behind me. I turned around to see Denki on the ground with a bleeding knee. I rushed to Denki's side, "Denki are you okay, what happened" I asked.

"Oh, it's nothing, I just tripped and scratched my knee on the tracks" Denki stated as he got up and brushed himself off. He took a few steps forward before losing balance and almost falling again. Iwabee caught him before he could fall and Denki quickly clung to his arm. Iwabee kneeled down, "come on Denki, hop on my back, I'll carry you" Iwabee offered. Denki hopped on Iwabee' back with barely any fuse. "Thanks Iwabee, sorry if I'm being deadweight Boruto" Denki said.

I instantly shook my head, "your not deadweight Denki, we'll patch you up as soon as we get to the Sand village, that's our top priority" I told him as I went back to running. Iwabee running now with Denki on his back, never complaining about the weight. It was almost another hour until finally, like a beam of light. The Sand village had finally came into view, just like I promised. We made getting Denki patched up properly our main priority as we entered the village. "And there you go, tell me if you are feeling weird at all, just to be safe..ya don't wanna be walking around with a infected leg..who knows, we might have to cut it off-" Iwabee joked as Denki looked at him nervously.

"Oh Iwabee, grow up would ya" Shikadai scolded, "stop scaring the poor guy, Denki don't worry you're fine, Iwabee isn't gonna cut off your leg" Shikadai reassured Denki. "Well of course, unless it gets infected we mi-" I started, only for Shikadai to shut me down immediately. "Boruto, quit your dawdling cause if you haven't notice, we're on a tight schedule now because of certain delays...so we're going to the Kazekage's office immediately so we can announce our arrival..we're still on a mission Boruto, searching for your brother is just gonna have to wait a little longer" Shikadai stated. Causing me to frown, "we'll search for him as soon as we stop by the Kazekage's office, I swear" Shikadai promised. I sighed, "fine..have it your way, well, first stop Uncle Gaara's office" I shouted cheerfully. So just like that, we stood face to face with the door, leading to Uncle Gaara's office.

It ended up just being me, Shikadai, and Mitsuki that went to the office. Since the others wanted to stay behind to keep Denki company. Although, I could tell how much Iwabee wanted to come and meet Uncle Gaara, the Kazekage himself. Iwabee had to unfortunately stay with Denki to make sure his wound didn't actually get infected on our way over here. Of course, as Team Captain, Shikadai came along and as always. Mitsuki just wanted to come along because I was going since he is my Uncle...sorta.

That doesn't matter right what matters is getting this over with and get searching for my brother. Shikadai knocked on the door, hearing a low come in as he turned the door knob. "Oh, you have arrived" Gaara muttered as he stood up from his chair. Putting down the papers he was reading to greet us at the door. "It's a pleasure to meet Boruto's...Uncle, was it" Misuki greeted as he shook Uncle Gaara's hand, turning his attention back to me. "Ahh, yes, you must be Naruto's son..Boruto, I remember, you were the one using that forbidden Ninja Tool back at the Chunin exam when the Otsutsuki clan attacked" Gaara commented.

Making me frown immediately as I held my head low, rubbing my arm in embarrassment as I suddenly felt like a million eyes were on me. Shikadai chuckled nervously, "yeah but that's all in the past now, we're here because Lord Seventh sent us on a mission to escort two people back to the Hidden Leaf" Shikadai informed. "I see, you should rest up for the day and take in the scenery, you can head off tomorrow but today relax a bit, who knows..you might just bump into you're clients" Uncle Gaara commented. "Well, you two should head off before the sun rises, you don't want to miss out on roaming the village" Uncle Gaara stated as went back to his chair. "Yeah yeah, I heard ya loud and clear, well..see ya" I muttered as I exited the office. "Thank you for your time, Lord Kazekage" Shikadai said as he bowed.

As if Uncle Gaara wasn't his biological Uncle, I cringed at the sight as I turn away. My stomach spoke loud an clear, I groaned as it rumbled. "Come on guys, I'm starving, let's meet up with everyone and get something to eat" I grumbled. "Agreed, we should get you something to eat" Mitsuki muttered, nodding in agreement. Doing that thing he always does, you know, that weird smiling thing. Where he just smiles at me and doesn't disagree with anything I say smile.

"Yeah yeah, we're coming, it be nice to finally get some nice and hot food" Shikadai agreed as he quickly ran up to my side so we can head off together.
