Efosa stared at the section of code, he hoped the damn thing would finally work. He extracted it and ran it on his secondary screen while he turned his chair to face his TV, "anime!" He yelled Ashe placed his put his headphones on and hit play.
The first scene of the episode barley started when Goldie came screaming into his room "Fosa!"
Efosa's lips trembled as he hit the pause button on his remote, he didn't even get to start the theme song, "yes Goldie?" He hesitantly turned away from the tv screen to face the fourteen year old.
"I need help with homework," she pouted and walked closer to him.
"What of Zogie," he groaned half-heartedly as he stood up.
"I need the smarter brother, not the stronger one," she clapped her hands together then went behind him to push him to her room.
Efosa sighed in defeat and walked to his sister's room, he had the he had the first line of amazing grace playing over and over again in his head.
"What's the big issue that the genius Goldie can't solve on her own?" He asked as they walked into the room. He plopped down on her bed and she went to her reading table to bring her books.
"It's this question about Macbeth's death," she said as she pointed at a question on the page.
Efosa visibly paled and whistled, "Macbeth... That's the guy who acted a play right?" He chuckled nervously.
"That's Hamlet,"
He snapped his fingers, "that's true, I forgot. Then Hamlet is the dude that borrowed some money," he watched her her frown.
She raised a finger, "first of, it's Mac... Beth, not Hamlet," she raised a second finger, "second Macbeth is the guy who was told his future by witches that he would only die by the hand of man not born by a woman."
Efosa sighed, "there goes my last bit of rep," he muttered and laid his back on the bed, "okay what happened to his death?" He said as he propped himself on one hand.
"Don't worry, I've figured it out myself, when I need sciencey help, I'll buzz you," she took his hand in hers and pulled him out of her room, "thank you nii chan," she grumbled then locked the door.
Efosa chuckled as he walked back to his room, "I can't believe she fell for that," he walked down the stairs to the living room, he had an itch to disturb his mother a bit.
He got to the parlour and saw no one, he checked the key rack, she had gone out of the house. He sighed and went back to his room,
Efosa sat on the chair and turned to face his secondary screen, the program showed an error code, he still had to tweak it a little bit before he could load it into the battle bot.
He stood up from his chair and walked out of the room to go check on Zogies progress with the moving parts.

"So, How's preparing for the big tournament coming along," Adesuwa asked him as he stuffed his mouth full with salad.
He tried to talk but settled on swallowing first, "I've perfected the programming but Blue's still tinkering with the mechanical stuff, there's someone else we'd have asked to help but he's currently unavailable so me and him are toughing it out." He took a sip from his drink, "once he's done with that, I'll check the wiring again then we'll be go to go." He tapped his chest lightly and pulled his drink to his mouth again.
Adesuwa chuckled, "you know in all my life, I never thought I'd actually meet a real nerd," she paused and tapped her chin then looked at him with a troublesome grin, "do you have a girl friend?"
Grey choked on his drink and did his best not to spray her with the fluids in his mouth. He gripped the table and she quickly rushed to his side and pat his back. He settled down and she went back to her seat.
She watched him sit back up, "you still have to answer the question sha," she grinned as he paled.
"I'm choking again," he muttered patting his chest. She grinned and watched him misbehave.
"Don't keep a lady waiting."
He looked up and saw her eyes still staring at him intent on his response, "yes, I do."
"Your pants are on fire."
"What?"
"Your pants are on fire you bold faced liar," she chuckled, "so you don't have a girlfriend, how come you gave me that seduction book," she stared at the table momentarily then leaned forward on the table with a mischievous grin, "are you trying to seduce me?"
Grey groaned, "no, you're not my type," he closed his eyes and raised his hands, "I'm looking for someone...," He paused and held his chin while Adesuwa raised an eyebrow.
"Well I see why you haven't gotten a girl yet," she chuckled and took his drink. He made to complain but she raised a the hush finger and shook her empty bottle, "you need to be more a gentleman."
Grey glared at her and sighed, "how about church boy, any news on him, have you been practicing?"
"Well not on him but I've been practicing, it turns out that you can make a lot of things go your way with simple body movements which I might add he is completely oblivious to," She downed the rest of his drink and placed it on the table, "that's were the two of you share a similarity, though I think he's far more straight laced than you."
Grey chuckled, "I know what you mean, I know someone like that but I'd wager he's far worse, the dude doesn't even smile for birthdays, he's always brooding and thinking about one new scheme after the other."
"Well it's all good though, I can use you as practice for now and then I'll actually try and get him. I'm thinking of inviting him to my birthday party next month, what do you think?"
"Sounds awesome actually, maybe the alcohol will loosen him up a bit," Grey grinned and rubbed his hands together, "I can fix you up with some goods," he thought about his elder brothers estranged friend, Yomi would be the perfect person to fix her up, it might even make things easier to recruit him.
"That sounds awesome but I want to respect his wishes and keep the alcohol visibly away from him, you know charm his pants off eventually," she winked at her companion.
Efosa chuckled lightly, "good luck with that, so when's the birthday?"
"It's the thirteenth of next month but I'll do it on the Wednesday of that week so he can make it," she stood up, "I'm going to get myself another drink, you?"
Grey nodded and watched her walk off to the counter then pulled out his phone and scrolled through his calendar. She walked back to their table and dropped the drinks.
"That's the day of the competition so I might be a bit late."
"No problem as long as you bring yourself and show face a bit, no problem. I might fix you up with Bisola, she's been dying to meet you." Adesuwa winked as she sipped her drink.
"She'll be disappointed," Grey chuckled and checked his phone for the time "I think it's about time go, Blue should be finishing up on his bit so I need to go wire it so we can start adjusting it's performance and stuff."
Adesuwa stood up and picked her bag, and followed him out of the cafe. The two hugged and went their separate ways.
