The house was a mess, nothing catastrophic but it was a mess nonetheless. Adesuwa had a large grin on her face as she rolled out of bed. She reached for her phone and checked the time.

"Two and a half hours till I need to get to work," she stood up and stretched. She felt oddly relaxed even though she slept four hours. She giggled as she remembered the previous night, she found it hard to sleep even two hours after he had left for his own house. She wondered if he'd call her this morning to check up on her, it's what boys were supposed to do right? She wondered if that was only applicable to the boy's that Bisola dated.

Adesuwa walked to her bathroom and put her toothbrush in her mouth. She walked out of the room while she brushed to access the extent of the birthday mess. She sighed in relief when she saw it wasn't as bad as she thought. She walked to her best friend's room and saw the usually energetic woman walking like a zombie out of the toilet.

"Damn girl, you look like hell!" Adesuwa blurted almost spitting out the foam in her mouth. She held a finger up and rushed to Bisola's bathroom to finish brushing.

Bisola groaned as Adesuwa came out of the bathroom, "I feel like hell," Adesuwa chuckled and walked to the bed. She covered her best friend with her duvet and walked to the door, “could you please turn of the lights?”

“sure thing,” Adesuwa walked out of the room and closed the door softly behind her.

She walked to the kitchen and began organizing the chaos. She packed all the used plates into the sinks and let them soak in water while she wiped off the surfaces, her small island had dried soup and jollof scattered around.

Adesuwa finished washing the last of the dishes from her get together and placed them in the plate rack. She chuckled as she saw dropped the bowl he had used to bring sandwiches the previous night. She smiled as she remembered how long they had talked for. She ended up eating most of the sandwiches and when they had finished that, she filled the bowl with popcorn and nuts.

She wiped off her hands after cleaning the counter then walked to Bisola's room. Some things were still littered on the floor but she wasn't ready to deal with them, she had a seriously hungover friend groaning on her bed.

Adesuwa pushed the room's door open with a soft bang. She flicked the light switch on and her best friend groaned as she covered her face with her beddings.

"Bisola how are you feeling?" Adesuwa asked the hungover female covered in a duvet.

"Like I was trampled by a hundred horses," she groaned, "I think I might become like lover boy if this is what alcohol does to me."

Adesuwa watched her best friend cry in pain and sighed, “i need to be paid for taking care of you, you know?” she walked to the bed and laid down beside the agonizing female.

Bisola chuckled softly and pulled the duvet off her head, "how was finally connecting with lover boy yesterday?" She whisper screamed in Adesuwa's ears, "you guys talked to eleven thirty yesterday night and I was so lonely."

"Well we got to know a lot about him, would you imagine that he's left handed and he grew up in the same area we did, just a junction away."

"That sounds really cool, do you remember seeing him at all before?" Bisola asked.

"Not really, you know how we were locked up in the house for so long, there's no way we would have talked to anyone in that area."

"Fair point," Bisola muttered. She removed the covers off her body and crawled out of the bed, "can I ask you something?"

Adesuwa sat up and stared at her friend, "is anything wrong?"

"Nothing wrong just want to ask you something."
