Zogie pulled the car into the street and he could already hear the sounds of the speakers thumping, he smiled. He turned to look at goldie, she was practically getting ready to burst out of her seat. He reduced the speed of the car and grinned.
She looked at him with an intensity that had no business on a fourteen year old. He shivered slightly and went back to a more reasonable speed. She smiled and went back to her one second from explosion mode.
Zogie parked the car and turned the ignition, he turned to look at his sister but she was already racing to the gate of the house. He grinned and got out of the car, "well, time to be eye candy," he was feeling lucky.
He walked to the gate and knocked, his little sister right by his side with a wrapped present, "what did you get her?" He asked before knocking again, this time louder.
"Something, girls stuff, you can't know or your brain will melt," she stuck her tongue out at him.
He chuckled as he thought about how much girl stuff he already knew, dirty and dark things.
The gate was opened and they walked in, he placed a hand on his sister before she ran away. He bent to her ear height and whisper shouted over the music, "don't loose your phone, put it on vibrate mode, that way you feel it cause I doubt you'll hear it ringing."
She nodded, "oya go and keep the chaperones company," she pointed at the collection of women talking by tables of wine and other dtink hugged his legs then ran to go look for her friends. Zogie sighed contently, he was going to have a good day. He kept his eyes on the ladies with a large smile on his face, he saw one of them notice him coming and he smiled.
Zogie's heart broke more and more as he got closer to the table and noticed the chaperones were quite older than he expected. He groaned and looked around for somewhere else for him to go mingle.
The of the lady who had been watching sensed his distress and waved him over. He put on his best polite smile and walked to her. He ran through excuses in his head.
"Good afternoon," he said, he wondered if he should add 'ma'am' or not since they were looking so young.
She laughed and he felt like he was hearing the angels sing joy to the world for it, "good afternoon dear, you seem out of place, what's your name?"
He blushed and scratched the back of his head, "I'm Zogie,"
"That's a wonderful name," she placed a hand on his shoulder, "I'm guessing you're not a young dad like us so what brought you to the party?"
"I'm chaperoning my younger sister," he scanned the party for his sister and pointed at her.
"Ooh, that's lovely, I guess beauty does run in the family." She took a disposable cup from the table and offered it to him, "you can handle your alcohol right?"
He nodded and she grinned.
"How about we go get another bottle for ourselves," she leaned in and whispered in his ear, "I'm pretty sure the other ladies won't want us over indulging on theirs, would we?"
Zogie nodded quickly, "no... no w... We Wouldn't," he shook his head to stop his stammering.
She poked his chin and smiled, she excused herself from the table and motioned for him to follow her. Zogie forced his legs to move and not keep staring at the view, this was locked out territory. He followed her to the main house and watched her do her thing to get a drink and some cups. She came out with a bottle of flavoured alcohol, "I didn't want to get something too strong, since I'm still planning on driving home," she giggled and laced her arm around his, "let's find somewhere to sit and you can tell me about yourself."
