Adesuwa walked beside Ada with a scowl on her face, he didn't seem to be paying her any mind. As far as she knew, he was practically oblivious of her existence. She sighed and glared at the flaking ceiling.
"are you alright Adesuwa?"
"Don't mind me, I'm good just tired," he nodded and continued walking. she felt like pulling him by the ears and punching some sense into him, how could he not pick the signs she was giving him.
She had been avoiding Reke for the past week, she wanted Ada to be the one to tell her they were in a relationship or fulfill her dreams and tell her Reke was just a misguided friend. How could all her work just come crashing down because of some child hood crush. She wanted to be mad at Reke but she couldn't bring herself to hate the bubbly fashion designer, she reminded her so much of Bisola. She shuddered at the thought of having two Bisolas.
She bumped into a black fabric with something hard behind it.
"Are you sure you're okay?" She looked up and found Ada staring at her as she slowly realized she was leaning on his torso, she liked the smell of his jacket, she brought her eyes down an noticed it was on the wrong side of his body.she shook her head and stepped backwards.
"I'm sorry, I bumped into you, what were you saying?" She looked away to hide her visible embarrassment.
"You shivered so I thought you were cold, the rain that's falling outside is pretty heavy and windy so I figured you could use my jacket." He handed her the jacket and smiled.
"Uh... Uh.. th.. thanks," she stuttered and put on the jacket, it was shy of reaching her waist and she was pretty sure she could rock it as a nightie.
He nodded, "so are you feeling better now?"
"Better, much better, thank you."
"You're welcome, now we must be going or else we'll miss our appointment. Are you ready?" He asked as he began walking again.
"Yes, I can do it," she picked up her pace and caught up with him, "all I have to do is sweet talk him into letting us become his moving service right?"
"Yes, if he agrees, well finally have full access to the fortress by delivering Torah's exotic cars to his doorstep."
Adesuwa pulled the jacket around herself tighter, "are you sure I can do it?"
Ada chuckled, "you wouldn't be in this team if you couldn't do it, in fact believe it or not, you've done the most in this group, the rest of us are just doing stuff we've been doing for ages but you are tackling something you've never done before, and dare I say, from what I've been told, you've been doing pretty good."
Adesuwa smiled and nodded, "thanks, let's go knock this dealer dude off his feet."
Ada chuckled and nodded, 'yes, let's do that." He continued walking with Adesuwa right beside him. They got to the door of the office and Ada looked at the female at his side, "you remember the names right?"
"Yes, you're Osas and I'm Ehi."
Ada nodded and pushed the door open. The reception was a bit hot and the over head fan creaked as it did it's best to deal with the heat. The windows were opened and the curtains raised but the shelving around the receptionist reduced the useable light that got to her. He had a feeling she loved it this way in comparison to the heat if the space wasn't blocked off.
"Good afternoon, welcome to Otas Car Dealership, how can I help you?" The reception asked without looking up from the news paper he was reading.
"Good afternoon, we've got an appointment for two o'clock, could you please tell Mr Otas that the staff from Exotic is here?"
