How the hell could Tommy eat now? He was hungry and thirsty. There was no damn water here, and the food here looks like shit. He didn't even have an appetite. He paced around the filthy cell, larger than it should've been because they'd built it for Endermen.

He was put in here at about noon, and it's a while past sunset, so... he had been in here for far too fucking long. Tommy hummed any little melody in his head as an attempt to make the horrible silence more bearable. He couldn't sit in the silence and stew in his thoughts, so he kept himself busy by trying to decide if he'd rather have ten rats invade the cell or the ceiling caving in or something equally stupid.

There was a deep rumbling, following by silence shattering, ear piercing siren. Tommy was so startled he stumbled backwards, clapping his hands tightly over his hears as he tried not to curl up. He fell against a wall, and through a crack he could see blackened scales whipping by, leaking a smell of some sort od decaying creature.

"Tommy! Tommy, hey Tommy!"

"Ranboo, what the hell!" He shouted as the hybrid prince rushed down the dungeon stairs. He didn't hesitate to grab the key and open the cell.

"Come on," Ranboo said, "I'm getting you out of here. They lock the portal up when this sort of thing happens, but we can wait until they get out of lockdown to sneak you back in."

"Why the hell should I trust you?"

"It's you who's going to be stuck here, man, this is my home."

Ranboo offered his hand. He stood there, a kind smile on his face, simply wanting to help. It sort of disgusted Tommy how much patience he had. Maybe it was just how much he was contradicting his brother and his father, or maybe Ranboo was just being a bitch.

Ranboo might've been a bitch, but he was probably the only way Tommy would get out of this shithole. He took a breath, interrupted by another loud roar before taking Ranboo's hand, and allowing him to lead the way.

"Alright and up up up up up up up up..." he kept saying as he ran up the stairs and pulled Tommy with him. They got much too high and ran through a door. "Balcony!" He did as his words suggested and hopped onto the balcony. He let go of Tommy's hand and started shimmying on the side of the building: "Left left left left left left... another balcony and..." Ranboo jumped onto the other balcony and grinned, facing something that Tommy couldn't see.

Finally the blond reached the second balcony. "Did you need to choose such a weird path?! Are you trying to kill me or something?!?"

"Dragon!"

And, of course, it was a dragon. It had black slick scales, the hind legs were perched on a balcony lower down, one was on the one Ranboo and Tommy were standing, and the fourth was simply resting in air. The wings were folded up at its side, with purple insides matched the back spikes sticking from the spine and glowing purple eyes.

Tommy stumbled backwards out of pure shock, but before he could fall off the railing, Ranboo caught him and stood him up right.

"Hey, she's perfectly safe. Just don't piss her off and you'll be fine! Her name is Toxin, but I just named her that to throw people off. Just let her smell you- smells tend to be important to dragons sort of like cats! Then you'll be fine, she's pretty friendly."

Tommy hesitated, staring at the dragon. She reeked of decaying flesh, as if she was dead. "Ranboo. Are you trying to kill me?"

"I promise she is perfectly fine. She hasn't hurt anything."

Tommy felt sort of stupid for trusting Ranboo. He was probably going to die here anyways.

After a few moments, he reached an outstretched hand towards Toxin, shaking though. She paused for a moment then moved closer, when she sniffed, some of Tommy's hair came whooshing forwards. After a moment, the dragon nuzzled his outstretched hand. Tommy fell backwards before she could start licking him.

"Hah, she likes you, then," Ranboo said, smiling. "That's pretty good. She's gonna be flying us to a forest up west so we can hide out for a while. Then we can make it back to the portal and you can get home."

Toxin lowered her head like a bow. Ranboo gingerly stepped on the hard scales to her neck where he positioned himself in between some neck spikes and grabbed onto the left horn. Tommy paused, then he attempted to follow his steps. He sat on the other side.

He grabbed on tight and the dragon rose again.

"Hold on tight!" Ranboo called. Tommy did so. He gripped it and ended up hanging close to Toxin as her wings lifted the three into the sky. Tommy was swearing under his breath the whole time.

It was relaxing for Ranboo on the other hand. He watched the ground get further away. Soon he saw a crowd of Endermen. He noticed his father:

"Where the hell is Ranboo? ... How do you misplace Ranboo? You better find him or I'm feeding you to the dragons myself!!"

He grimaced and turned his gaze to the skies and again. Ranboo ended up laying down and closing his eyes. Just a little relaxation.

Wait a second.

He sat up and watched the castle get further and further in the distance as Toxin soared through the void. He watched as home got further and further in the distance. He was running away, maybe ruining his image, maybe ruining his whole life.

He just flew away from his home on a dragon with a human. For a human. Ranboo was always taught to put himself before others. Survival of the fittest. But it never stuck in his head. Now Ranboo was doing the opposite. Possibly ruining anything he'd worked up in life because some kid got stuck in the End.

Not to mention that Tommy could've been home already if Ranboo was actually careful, if he had actually planned ahead instead of throwing stuff to a board and hoping it would stick. It was his fault Tommy was here, too. He let him follow him.

Did he just throw away his life? For Tommy?

No, no, of course not. He would end up back home of course. He would go back home and resume his life once Tommy was in his own home. It would be normal again. And every once in a while he could sneak out again. The portal was sort of close to Tommy's house, he could say hi every once in a while.

Ranboo didn't notice that he fell asleep.
