"ARE you sure about this, Solmate? When are you coming back—no, are you still coming back when everything settles down?" Minerva pouted with her doe eyes. If Solis knows any better, her friend doesn't want her to go but she doesn't have any choice.
If she will be honest, she doesn't want to leave. Sadness blanketed all over her the moment she decided to leave the life she has in this town; her job, her family, her friends, her bittersweet and sour memories in this place. However, she badly wanted to search her soul first.
I wanna be better again, she thought to herself.
Heal. That's what she needed. "I'm sure about this, Meni. Honestly, I still don't know if there's a possibility of me coming back but let's hope for the best."
"I understand but at least, let us visit you some other time." Minerva looks up with a cheeky face.
"My door is always open for you." Solis gazed upon her fondly. "I will miss you guys."
"Who am I to refuse, brat?" Minerva hums, snaking her arms to hers.
"Don't call her that, dumbbell." The ever-silent Mara blurted out while she was busy consuming her hotdog sandwich.
"Oh? Did we got company, Solmate, or am I just hearing things?" Minerva teased, grinning widely but soon, she made a face at how Mara messily ate her sandwich. "Ewww! Grow up, purple head gal!"
"Stop batting an eye on me, meanie. I can't help it when the sandwich is as good as my fries," countered Mara before swallowing a huge chunk of bun.
Minerva acted like she was going to puke. "Oh my god! Why am I even a friend of yours?"
Mara smirked, shrugging her shoulders. "I don't even know. I would rather choose food than be with you. I so hate women with gunshot mouths."
Minerva scowled, "Gunshot, what?"
"Ratatatatatatat... duh!" Mara rolled her eyes before looking at the amused Solis. "So? Care to tell me how are you doing these past few days?"
Solis sighed as she laughed, "I'm fine. Slowly coming up but rest assured, I'm trying. Though most of the time I am still questioning my worth. Hopefully, I can manage to get back my confidence and self-esteem sooner."
"You can do it, girl. We gotcha!" Mara cheered, clapping her hands.
"You got two hot cheerleaders behind you. You're not alone," Minerva added, snuggling herself more to her.
Mara grins, taking a huge gulp of her homemade pumpkin juice. "Hot? I like that but... never mind."
Minerva frowned at her. "Because we are. I don't want to hear anything about you being too harsh on yourself or else, I'm gonna shave your head real good."
Mara awkwardly chucks, "Well, my last date said I'm too fat for being hot and sexy. He says he can't even spot curves in me. I mean, can he just say it nicely or leave his opinion all by himself?"
Solis opened her mouth. "Mars—"
"Do I need to be insulted just because I'm not like what the society's standard of beauty? It literally crushed me. Heck! That jerk isn't even hot and sexy and he got a shirt from a freebie in a cinema. Why can't I not recognize it? But did I comment on that while he was with me? No. God! He's a bastard!"
Minerva smiled at her dearly. "Yeah, he's a jerk and a bastard and pathetic. Don't mind other people saying you're not what you believe you are. You are beautiful from your head down to your toes. If that man didn't see it and your worth, he's not the one for you."
