IT ONLY took one day for Solis to recover from her fainting incident and gladly, her vision is normal again. Although Hayland tries to convince her to let herself check, she just glares at him furiously. She never said a thing despite her being served delicious home-cooked meals.

She refused to talk to him and ignored him the whole morning but Hayland is so patient and plays like he's a very good husband to her, again. Though she didn't talk back, Hayland still tells her stories and his whereabouts at work.

Her husband will try and try to initiate a conversation which she clearly shrugs off and she's sure to show him how uninterested she is in his so-called stories. She intentionally closed her windows and she never said her thanks to him either for taking care of her the previous day because of only one thing.

She's furious, scared even of how the hell it happened. She kept on asking herself and it just led her to another phase of headaches. She woke up with her half-opened blouse and she nearly screamed out of fright. For some, she might be too much for overreacting things but to her, it is very personal.

Darting her eyes into the bedside table, she knows too well who the culprit is. She curled herself smaller, hugging her body in a protective gear and she cried and cried there. Her skin is irked and she couldn't find the urge to feel anything and she's scared to be touched by her husband thinking that Hayland's touch is all just an act.

It broke her heart.

"Ma'am Sol? Are you okay?" A sudden voice broke into her trance. She blinked her chaotic thoughts away.

Looking up, she smiled tightly at Thalia, one of the volunteer teachers in their division. "Yeah. I'm fine. Just occupied with some things."

Thalia nods, smiling back while showing her a folder. "Ma'am, you're going to the Division Office next week, right? Sir Peet asked me this. Can you please bring it to him?"

She creased a brow. "These are the forms, right? Haven't you sent him the soft copies already?"

She laughed, "That. But he also needed the hard copies too so..."

"Okay. I'll take care of this." She happily tucked the folder from her. "Anything else?"

"That's all. Thanks, Ma'am. You're the best!" she laughs playfully.

That made Solis to snort. "Yeah, whatever. You're welcome."

Thalia said goodbye and walked away from her gracefully. She just smiled, securing the folder in her drawer. She then sighed, looking at her notes and the checklists that she needed to attend before anything else.

Being the ALS Coordinator has a lot of work on the plate, not that she's complaining. She used to smile at her workloads every time so she did. However, that smile dissipated after she saw a familiar face walk inside the faculty room.

Whoever lets you in is a freak, she thought.

Her anxiety grows when she realizes that she's just alone inside the room since the ALS implementers are all out for lunch this time. She smacked her head mentally. She should've accepted their offer to join them.

"Ah, not again," he whispered. The last thing that she wanted was to be alone with her unwanted visitor.

"Hi, love." Hayland greeted, placing a plastic bag of probably a lunch box or something on her table.

Solis looks away, busying herself with some documents that settle in her desk. "Why are you here?"

Hayland pursed a smile as he walked over to her. "I brought you lunch."
