It been a while since you had seen Abner and Waller had made sure to keep you separated from him. Walking with her, Bloodsport, Ratcatcher 2, Peacemaker, and Nanaue through the halls of Belle Reve your smile only grew as you figured out where she was leading you all. "Lose the smile (L/N), we aren't here for reunions. Finally we have Abner Krill." Waller said harshly. "What's that around his neck?" Bloodsport asked. "It's a power dampener. Hey Abner." you said excitedly though Abner looked less than thrilled a small smile of greeting made its way to his face. "Last warning (L/N). They call him the Polka Dot Man." she said making Peacemaker scoff at his name while CalendarMan made fun of Abner pulling an animalistic growl from your throat but a deadly glare from Waller silenced you instantly. As Waller lead you all to the debriefing raoom the sound of squeaking on glass caught both yours and Bloodsport's attention. "You think it's a werewolf?"
As you followed after Nanaue and Abner up the beach you began to notice some of the colorful spots glowing under Abner's skin. "Hey love, you're starting to glow." you whispered to him as you ran next to him. "Is it noticeable?" he asked shyly drawing a small quiet laugh from you. "No but it will be if they turn around since we're in the jungle and its dark and you're glowing." you said with a friendly smile. "Don't worry about it I doubt they'll turn around." you said to reassure him after the nervous look that flitted across his face. Seeing Bloodsport turn around to face Peacemaker you nudged the colorful man beside you. "I sense friction." you whispered making Ratcatcher turn around and her eyes go. You shook your head silently begging her not to say anything however your it went unnoticed by her. "There's something wrong with your skin." she said making you face palm. Abner turned to her. " Its just a rash." he said quietly. "That's a rash?" Peacemaker said before another explosion erupted. "Yeah yeah Polka Dot has a rash. Can we keep going before we get caught out here please?" you interrupted to get all the attention off of him. Bloodsport nodded and turned around to continue the trek through the jungle.
Rolling over you wrapped your arm around Abner making him to grunt quietly in pain. Looking up at him you winced at the sight of the large colorful bulges glowing on his skin. "Sorry. You should probably go deal with that." you whispered quietly trying not to wake up the rest of this so called team. Abner grunted in pain as you slowly helped him up and made his way into the thicket of plants. Rolling over you pulled the blanket over yourself as the colorful light of the incendiary dots lit up the face of Bloodsport. "You wont say anything to him." you said with a low growl. Bloodsport nodded as Abner came back and looked at the both of you but before anything could be said the urgent squeaking of a rat interrupted. "Damn she's a deep sleeper...wish I could sleep like that." you whispered while king shark was shot at. Following the rest of the team as they debated about what to do with Nanaue, you nudged Abner. "I could use a bit more sleep, you?" he nodded and followed you back to the camp fire. Curling up against him you wrapped your arms around him. "Its been too long." you whispered as you relaxed against his chest and listened to his heartbeat. "Far too long." he hummed in acknowledgement as he wrapped his arms tightly around you and kissed the top of your head. "Hey (Y/N)... don't get killed please." he whispered into your hair as he relaxed. "Same goes for you cutie."
