"(Y/N) don't go too far ahead!" Batman said through the coms. "He could be dying!" (Y/N) yelled as she sped her bike up and jumped the hill to the abandoned warehouse where Joker had been torturing Jason before jumping off the bike. Panic is all (Y/N) could feel as she ran toward the building and time seemed to slow as it blew up before she could make it to the door. Batman quickly shielded his young sidekick from the blast. (Y/N) looked up over his shoulder to the burning remains. "No...Jason!" she screamed, her voice cracking as she escaped Batman's grasp and ran to the ruble. The constant mumbling of "no's" as she dug and threw pieces off to the side hurt Bruce and the pain he saw on her face when she found the all too familiar cape was almost unbearable but it got worse when she started digging faster and pulled his other sidekick, his Robin, out and held him close to her. "Jason wake up.." she said shaking him and when no response came she let out a whimper before all her tears began to fall. "C-come on Jaybird...p-please wake up!" she cried putting her forehead to his. "Jay please wake up.....I-I can't do this without you." she whispered as she gently rubbed his cheek as her tears fell and rolled down his cheeks. "(Y/N), I'm sorry.." Bruce said the hurt in his voice was clear but that didn't stop (Y/N) from quickly turning on him. The anger in the teen's eyes could rival that of the explosion that took her lover. "YOU DID THIS!! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT DAD!!" she screamed as she glared at the man before her then looked down at Jason and let out a choked sob. "Th-this is all your fault..." (Y/N) said before before turning away and running from her father and best friend. She ran from Batman and Robin.
