You waited in the forest, a sunflower and sweet treat in your hand. You waited patiently for MK, who was running late. You tapped your foot, it was getting late and you grew anxious. A rustle was heard in the trees and you were tackled into a hug by the one and only monkie kid! He kissed you all over as you laughed before he gave you a lingering and soft kiss on the lips. You pulled away from each other, staring into one another's eyes before you remembered the stuff you had. "Oh! Sunshine, because we haven't seen each other in a while, I got these for you!" you said, holding out the gifts.

His eyes lit up in excitement as he took them and thanked you repeatedly. "What? Didn't expect me to love you?" you teased him and laughed at his red face. He set them down on a stump and held your hands "Y/n, you know I love you right?" he cupped your face as you gave a confused look. "Yes, I do, is something wrong?" he looked away, his lip quivering somewhat and said, "Just- just letting you know in case you think differently of me after this..." know you were really worried. You leaned in towards him and gave his hands a squeeze. "I don't think you can do anything that would ever make me not love you, sunshine." you smiled as you spoke.

He took a deep breath and a gold glow encased him, wearing off as his hair grew into tufts and his butt now had a tail, but the hands you held were now fuzzy as his face had a pattern around his eyes. He looked away, closing his eyes as if to prepare for rejection. But all you did was study his features, and stroke his fluffy hands with your thumb. You raised a hand and cupped his face, kissing him as he relaxed and wrapped his tail around your leg. You parted and looked his lovingly. "I love you MK. No matter what." you whispered, brushing his cheek with your thumb. He smiled, a few happy tears coming out as he hugged you tightly.

"I love you too sunny boy." he said breathlessly and kissed your nose. His lips felt different but familiar in the same way and his fur would brush against you. "Gods, you're so cute." you said, earning a blush from him. He chuckled and nuzzled against you, sighing and whispering into your neck "You have no idea how much you mean to me..." but you knew. You knew how much you both needed each other. How much you loved each other. And how much you cared for each other. You wouldn't have it any other way.
