Macaque and y/n have been spending more time together and formed a brotherly bond. And today they both took a stroll through a neighboring forest. This was where Macaque found y/n, it's been 5 months since it happened. y/n didn't really remember much of it, and he didn't want to but it was locked away, somewhere he could access if one day he did want to know what happened. But for now, he picked mangoes with Macaque, it was his favorite thing to do with his brother and the pair went home.

They lived like this, and it was always peaceful. However, y/n noticed Macaque leaving the cave at night more often and coming back in a somewhat hurt condition. He was really worried for him. So he followed him one night. He wandered into a sort of ruin, and saw someone he thought was long gone. SWK. he had his staff out and Macaque with his staff. y/n crouched behind a pillar, observing with his heart beating out of his chest.

"Macaque. I thought I told you to leave me and Tripitaka alone." y/n's eyes widened, did his brother do something? "Well can you blame me? He's the source of many people's problems." Macaque said coldly. They started to circle each other, Macaque smirking playfully and SWK glaring at him. He made the first move and charged SWK following his actions. Each one hitting each other, harder than the last and soon SWK had blood seeping from his shoulder and blood dripping down Macaque's head.

y/n was tempted to go, to help, but he was frozen and could only watch, tears threatening the corners of his eyes and gripping onto the pillar tightly. SWK was on top of Macaque, sitting upright. He raised both hands and struck Macaque's eye with his staff. "NO!!" y/n screamed, finally having the courage to move and shouldered SWK away, making him roll away. He was holding Macaque, and ripped off some cloth and tried to stop the bleeding, but it didn't stop.

Tears were steadily streaming from his eyes as his shaking form spoke hollow words of comfort to the monkey in his hands. His own white fur was being stained by his blood. A slightly shaky and went up to y/n's cheek. Macaque looked into his eyes, and said, "look bud, i'm not going to bounce back... I'm so sorry, please forgive me for leaving. Don't stop being you, I'm so sorry bud, love you kiddo..." and his body went limp. y/n held him tightly, as if he was going to leave.

Slowly, his body turned into dark purple flower petals and y/n only hugged himself, crying, sobbing violently. He scrambled as he got the petals and clutched them to his chest. He looked back at SWK with a snarl he wanted to hurt him, to rip him limb from limb and torture him, but he still held a special place in your heart, and Macaque was gone. "Leave." y/n said with poison dripping from his words. As he heard footsteps stalking away he stood and turned to SWK. he grabbed Macaque's staff, clutching onto the petals in one hand and swung it at the king.

His body followed his head as the staff made impact and his head bled a dark red liquid. SWK turned to face y/n and was met by rage and sorrow. Unlike the last time y/n had hit him, he did not apologize. He stood his ground and looked down on him, as if he was lower than him. And he was. He was sick and twisted, only caring for him and not his own actions, while the albino knew all too well what it felt like and how to move forward.

"Goodbye Sun Wukong. The king of lies, the 'great' sage lower than hell." That was the first time y/n said his real name. And it felt like a stab to the heart for SWK. and with that, the albino left into the shadows of the forest with the petals. When he returned home, he collapsed onto the floor and sobbed his eyes out, setting down the staff. You vowed to yourself that night to do anything in your power to bring back your brother and stop SWK from causing anymore suffering.
