The first part of this chapter is in the third person, not sure why it's just how it graced the page.

Enjoy!

DETRIOT-

"We've been at this for days man. There's no sign of him." Shawn complains as he sits on the steps outside Tyler's "pack house'. It's nothing but an old, abandoned shack deep in the forest in Detroit.

"Shut up Shawn." Morales sneers, looking at the other man in disgust. Of all the people Dean could have sent him out to track with it had to be Shawn.

"Excuse me?" Shawn shoots up from his seat, getting into Morales's face, "Wanna say that again asshole?" Morales rolls his eyes, stepping back and putting distance between them. Dean wouldn't be happy if he came back with only Shawn's head and not the news they were sent for.

"Yeah. Thought so." Shawn said cockily, shrugging and looking through the trees, "Seriously we've been here for five days and are still empty handed. Let's go home." He stretches, while Morales kicks something on the ground.

"We're not going anywhere." He answers, bending over and picking up a small glass vial, bringing it up to the light to examine more closely.

"Why the fuck not man? Cause your precious Alpha says so? There's nothing here."

"You sure about that?" Morales asks, tossing him the half-filled vial. Monopropoline. Shawn stiffens as he turns it between his fingertips. He knew the liquid well.

"Ok so a rogue was here?" He says with a shrug tossing the vial back.

"You and I both know that this stuff doesn't just get sold to any rogue." Morales scoffs as he sticks it in his pocket. "We keep looking." Morales shifts and takes off not giving Shawn a chance to catch up.

"Fuck." Shawn curses under his breath and takes out his phone, scrolling through the contacts, stopping at the T's. He sends a short and simple message.

T.A

Keep moving. They are getting close.

He shuts his phone off, and undresses, holding his clothes and phone in his mouth as his wolf takes over, growling lowly in his head.

'We have to stop them.' he rumbles as Shawn takes off after Morales.

'We will. Be patient.' He'd figure it out.

CHICAGO

"We're being followed," Kyle says leaning up against the office door, his arms crossed at his chest. I shifted next to Dean as he tightens his arms around me unconsciously, his father sitting on the couch opposite the room. After Kyle hung up with Dean and we made it to the pack house, Dean carried me out of the car much to my dismay and walk us to his office, where his father was already waiting.

"Can you elaborate son?" Cole asks, his brows bunched in the center, causing a deep worry line above them. He looks exhausted enough already without having to deal with anymore stress. I don't notice that I'm staring until his eyes meet mine and he smiles at me. Way to be a creep, Selene. I mentally smack myself in the head.

"After work we went to get coffee with- with Selene's mentee." He rushes out. Mentee? Why did he say that? "Once we were leaving, I saw what I thought was a rouge in forest. He was watching Selene."
