In the bunker

Katie's POV

I'm in my room, coloring, because I have nothing better to do. I hate being grounded. I don't have anything to do. I can't live like this for two whole weeks. This is so boring. Coloring is only gonna keep me occupied for like an hour. Then what? What am I supposed to do then? When I'm done coloring this page, I probably won't wanna do another one. So what the fuck am I supposed to do?

Dad: Hey. He calls from the doorway of my bedroom.

Katie: What?

Dad: I'm gonna go get lunch. I'll be right back. Be good for Dean. Ok?

Katie: Can I come with you?

Dad: I don't know if I want you out in this weather.

Katie: The weather isn't doing anything. It's just cold.

Dad: I don't want you out when it's this cold.

Katie: But we'll be inside.

Dad: No. You're staying here, where I know you're warm.

Katie: But I'm bored and I wanna go with you.

Dad: Katie-

Katie: Please? I ask while giving him the puppy eyes that I inherited from him.

Dad: Fine. You can come with me. But you're wearing a jacket.

Katie: Fine.

I get off the floor, (Yes, I was coloring on the floor. Don't judge me.) and get a jacket from my closet.

Dad: Now go get your shoes.

I nod and we both leave my room. I think my shoes are by the stairs. I go to the stairs and find my shoes. I put them on and Dad tells Uncle Dean that we'll be back in a little while. We go outside, and now I feel just how cold it really is.

Dad: You wanna go back inside? He asks while looking down at me, probably having noticed the change in my body language.

Katie: No. I wanna go with you. It's just really cold out here.

Dad: I warned you.

Katie: Yeah, but when you said that it was cold, I didn't think it was this cold.

Dad: I'll put the heater on high. Get in the truck, Munchkin.

I nod and we both get in the truck and he puts the heater on. He turns it up until it can't go any higher, then he starts driving to wherever we're getting lunch from. I didn't really care to ask where we were going. I was just bored and wanted something to do.
