Chapter 21

Sunday, 11:00 pm

In the bunker

Sam's POV

I'm in my room, reading a book. Katie went to bed, about an hour ago. But I'm gonna go check on her, in a little while, just to make sure that she's actually in bed. She has school tomorrow, and I don't want her to be tired in class. Her behavior at school is already bad. I don't want her to be falling asleep at school, too.

Katie: Well you're not the boss of me, so get out of my room.

I guess Dean went to check on her, first. I take it that she wasn't asleep, and now she's mad that she got caught. Now I have to go discipline my child, before she pisses Dean off. I put my book down and get out of bed. I leave my room and start going to Katie's. Once there, I find Dean and Katie, arguing.

Dean: I'm not in the mood for this right now, Katie.

Katie: I'm not in the mood for this right now, Katie. She mocks him.

Sam: Katelyn Grace.

She looks at me and rolls her eyes.

Sam: Don't roll your eyes at me. What are you doing up? You have school tomorrow.

Katie: So?

Sam: So you're supposed to be in bed, asleep. But instead, you're awake and arguing with Dean. Why?

Katie: Because I'm not tired. I'm not gonna go to bed if I'm not tired.

Sam: That doesn't explain why you're arguing with Dean.

Katie: Because he's in my room, and I don't want him in my room.

Dean: I came to your room to check on you. I came in when I saw you on your phone, playing games instead of sleeping.

Katie: I'm not playing games. I'm texting my friend.

Sam: You should be asleep. So-

Katie: I just said I'm not tired, but you're still telling me that I should be asleep. I'm not going to bed, if I'm not tired. What about that are you not understanding?

I don't wanna spank her, but I'm not in the mood to give her a lecture on attitude, right now.

Sam: Drop the attitude, or you're getting spanked. I'm just trying to figure out why you're awake and on your phone, when you should've been in bed, an hour ago.

Katie: I'm 16. I don't need a bed time. I can go to bed, whenever I wanna go to bed. And right now, I don't wanna go to bed.

Sam: I didn't ask you what you wanted to do, did I?

Katie: This isn't about what you're asking me. It's about what I'm telling you. I'm not tired, and I'm not going to bed, until I am tired.

Sam: What did I just say about the attitude? Do you wanna get spanked?

She rolls her eyes again, and Dean smacks the back of her head.
