Ni-ki's POV

"What do you mean you don't know." I gritted my teeth infuriated by the situation.

"S-sir I wasn't there. I didnt see who did it." The bodyguard lowered his head feeling so negligible against my harsh comments.

"Absolutely ridiculous." I scoffed, intertwining my hands

"Execute him." I callously demanded.

"W-wha- PLEASE NO!" He implored but was stopped by 2 guards forcefully dragging him by his arms. And with that he was hauled out of my office. I heard a knock on the door. I looked up.

"Come in" i leaned back to my chair. A tall woman walked in, wearing a suit, rectangular glasses and her hair straightened, holding a clipboard.

"Mr Nishimura. Good evening first of all."

"What are you here for?" I signaled for her to sit down.

"Didn't you tell me to inform you when the Luminous Cygnus would arrive?" She pushed up her glasses and rechecked the paper on the clipboard. My features softened to the realization.

"Oh yeah. Right. They're here?"

"Waiting outside sir."

"Bring them in." I sat up, leaning forwards.

"It's just the leader." She added, walking towards the door to open it.

"Alright."

The door opened, revealing a boy who seemed to be older than me. He approached me and sat down in front of me.

"Good evening Nishi" he bowed with the movement of his head and crossed his hands.

"Hello Soobin."

"Long time no see huh?" He let out a small laugh.

"I suppose."

"Im really sorry for your loss. I hope you're doing well."

"Im fiiine." I breathed out.
He looked at me with saddened eyes and lowered his head.

"Just know if you need anything I'll be here." He sighed and shifted around his seat.

"Thank you." I grinned at his kindness.

"Now tell me. Do you have a clue of who could have possibly done it?"

"None of the guards saw him... or her- i dont even know their gender!" I rubbed the temple of my forehead, being obviously distressed.

"Calm down. I'll make every effort to help you find the killer. Maybe they are a member of a gang? Have you considered they may be-" he hesitantly paused for a second.
"-from Atrax..?"

I frowned.

"Cant be. Im sure. I have known Leeknow and his group for years." I reproached a bit harsher than i wanted to.

"You're right. My mistake for saying such a thing."
He awkwardly rescinded his words.

"And, if you don't mind me asking... what will you do when you find the murderer?"

"Simple. Kill them." I incisively replied, with eagerness for the person's death dripping along with my words. He smiled and nodded.

"I'll do my research and hopefully we'll find them soon. For now, investigate and dont let your guard down. It could be anyone." Soobin got up, fixing his slightly tatty shirt and stepping away from the chair.

"Thank you again. And please if you find out anything, apprise me as soon as possible." I gave him a smile.

"I will." He returned the grin and walked out of my office, leaving me satisfied with the agreement we made...
