Later on Ash was in the hospital and I was there too chewing on my nails, a bad habit that I'm very proud of. I know it's not really something to be proud of, but I am. I can't quite explain why I just am. Apparently Kai isn't going to jail at most he's getting detention for a couple weeks.
I guess Ash didn't want to press charges. I find it odd how his parents aren't here. But then again neither is mine. That might raise suspicion but I quite frankly don't give a fuck. Sorry?
Of course Ash is okay their just making a big deal and they're scaring me too because I know he's okay, but then again I don't. So I've been pacing around the waiting room being terrified. Sure I went along with it because I saw he was struggling, but now he's actually hurt and that's not what I intended. Not at all.
I already know why he's doing what he is without him even telling me. It's not very hard to know, but in the middle of my pacing I bump into another person and I see the doctor and I quickly ask "can I see him now??" He nods and says "he's mostly okay other than a couple stitches. Those should heal in about a month."
I rush into his room and see him sitting up and looking down at his hands. I know he wants to go along with his plan and everything, but no one is around and he's okay. So I hug him and he hugs me back tightly. "I'm sorry Carter i never meant any of-"
"I know. It's okay I know. I'm just glad you're okay and you didn't break anything." I mumble. He sighs and hugs me tighter. "I made you break down...I ruined your smiling streak. That's not okay."
I smile and shake my head "I forgive you. I know it's not your fault."
He smiles "you just might be the most amazing person I've ever known."
I smile and say "and you just might need to find other people to provoke than guys who could send you to the hospital." I say laughing and messing up his hair.
"Not the hair!!" He whines fixing it.
I laugh "whatever you girl."
"Pft you're just jealous your hair isn't as cool as mine."
"Yeah right dude my hair is freaking amazing what the hell are you talking about, you must have me confused with your hair." I say flipping my hair in his face.
He weakly pushes my face away laughing "yeah it's pretty nice I guess, but mine is still better."
I laugh "whatever loser I have to go soon though my dad might need me." I say smiling. He slightly frowns and pouts. I groan. "Fine five more minutes then I really have to go."
"Whatever you'll forget how long it's been two minutes into it." He says laughing. "Whatever you can eat grass you big dork." I say ruffling his hair again. He groans and "tickles" my sides. I smirk. "Not ticklish dude." He groans. "Damn it!"
I poke his side and laugh. He pushes my hand away and whines "noo stop you weirdo." I laugh. Then I hear a throat clear behind us. I turn around and see Kai. He looks uncomfortable and awkward. I feel Ash stiffen next to me. This should be a very interesting scene to watch unravel before me.
"Um..I'm sorry I kind of..sent you to the hospital..I didn't know that you guys were...I don't even know what you guys are, but not enemies." Kai said. I look over at Ash hopefully. "It's okay dude if someone who was a guy started saying all this bullshit to her I probably would have lost it too. I think anyone who knows her and the extent of just how amazing she is would step in and loose their shit."
Kai smiles "I don't think anyone knows the extent to just how amazing she is. Because every time I think I do she just gets more amazing" he says kissing my cheek. I smile and slightly blush looking down. I feel Ash stiffen beside me then slowly relax. I look at him oddly.
In a jealousy laced tone he says "pain killers are starting to wear off." I let it go and smile. Because that's what mom would have done.
