sotc: "Face Down"-The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
Well Kai left an hour ago and I'm about to leave. Ash is asleep and I smile at him. He looks so innocent like he would never hurt anyone or anything. He looks like an angel.
I hear shuffling behind me and see a woman version of Ash. I smile at her "you must be his sister." She smiles back at me and gives me a thumbs up "twin sister to be exact." And then another girl who looks to be the same age as him and then another boy. They all look the same age. Holy shit are they quadruplets?!?!
The only difference between them is their hair color and eye color and obvious gender. But the rest they look almost exactly the same. It's kind of scary. Kidding they don't all the look exactly the same sure they look almost the same, but you can actually tell them apart. To an extent.
"So um...what are your names?"
One of the girls with raven colored hair eyes a mix of gray and blue (they're quite beautiful actually). I would complain about my eyes, but they aren't that bad. They're pretty I'm not going to complain about them a lot of people think they're beautiful.
"Did you hear me?" I snap out of my zoned out moment and blush. "I'm sorry what did you say?" The raven colored hair girl laughs and says "I said my names Daisi."
Come to think of it they're all very beautiful and/or handsome. I look at the rest expectantly. And then the one with a light gray sweater, black skinny jeans, a small shoulder bag, and also brown combat boots. She was really pretty, but she looked very shy. Her hair was also really long. Like to her waist long.
"Uh my names is Cade.." She said awkwardly. Then Daisi elbowed her side and she blurted "I mean Cadence..sorry Cade is my nickname." She said turning a little pink.
And then the boy. I look over at him expectantly. Cadence looks at me and then to him worriedly. "Jasper." He says looking up at me. He has really nice eyes.
"Well you guys it was nice meeting you lovely bunch, but it's late and I need to get home before my dad looses his cool. He probably already has, but I should go before I'm officially as good as six feet under." I say smiling at them.
"You never said your name." Jasper says. "It's Carter and sorry we couldn't talk more you guys seem like really cool people." I say apologetically. "We could drive you home!" Daisi says. I sigh. Damn it I should have thought of that possibility. "But aren't you here to visit your brother..?" I say trying to avoid the situation.
"We saw him, he's okay, you might be in trouble with your dad because of our brother. We could drive you home and explain what took, so long don't worry girl we got you." Daisi says.
Jasper nods "that'd be okay I mean, this loser is being boring." He says laughing. I smile in hidden nervousness. "I guess if it won't be too much trouble..."
"Of course not." Cadence says smiling.
And with that we walk out of the hospital and get into a White Lamborghini. Freaking rich people. Well it's not like me and my dad doesn't have money. We're barely into high class since my dad keeps drinking the only reason we aren't completely bankrupt is because my dad actually still works. And also because his dad sold his company that was worth billions and that's just in the bank and everyday we get more and more money.
The reason we're barely into high class is because my dad refuses to buy a huge mansion until he gets a big promotion from his job. Yeah we live in a pretty big house. But to all the other high class people our house is disgusting and tiny.
You know what I just hope that when we get into my house my dad isn't drunk. That's the only thing I want right now, the last thing I need is to ruin virtually everything I've semi built with these wonderful people.
But we're already at my house and I hop out of the car attempting on hiding my shaking hands. I knock on my door because he took my key away. When he opens the door I feel my heart drop because I see scattered beer bottles and I can smell vodka and whatever other disgusting drinks he's had shoved down his throat floating into my nostrils.
"What-what do you want y-you stupid bitch?" He says slurring his words together. I can hear their gasps as I close my eyes feeling so embarrassed and ashamed. "Dad my friend was in the hospital I've brought his brothers and sisters to explain what happened."
I open my eyes after I don't hear him. His eyes are closed and when he opens them again he says "I don't g-give a fuck! Get away from my house you w-worthless slut!!" He yells slurring. I exhale slowly.
"Dad please-" and then I see the right side of the world all of a sudden and there's a really bad stinging in my cheek. I bring my hand slowly to my cheek and then look at my "dad".
I hear their gasps behind me and I feel tears prick my eyes. He slapped me. He looks enraged "get the fuck away from my house, you-you killed her." And that was when I began yelling too. "Damn it I didn't kill her you bloody idiot!! Stop blaming it on everyone else it wasn't anyone's fault, but her genes you stupid bastard! Every woman in her family had cancer of course she would have it what the hell else did you expect?!
And I bloody get it you miss her and you think that getting piss drunk until you can't even fucking walk every damn day will solve the pain you feel, but it won't you insensitive coward! You aren't helping you're running away from your problems and you hate looking at me because you blame me and I hate that because I miss my old dad and right now I don't even know who the fuck you are, but you're not my dad. My dad would never hit me. You? You aren't my dad. You're just a bloody good for nothing drunken coward."
And with that I began walking away and before I left I whispered "I miss her too you know...you aren't the only one who lost the light of their lives.." Then I walked away with tears in my eyes, shock and hurt on my mind. And the pain still in my cheek very very clearly with no signs of fading away.
