They told me my heart couldn't beat on it's own so I relied on yours to keep me here.
And when I woke next there were doctors everywhere.
I heard them speak of my condition. They said that my Arrhythmia was worse than they'd imagined.
They said my normal out of rhythm heartbeat had gotten worse. My heart cannot beat on it's own any longer. My heartbeat is so out of rhythm that they say if they let it beat on it's own the chances of me getting a heart attack are about as likely as the sky being blue.
And speaking of heart attack they said that the one I had has damaged my heart badly. It teared some tissue in my heart. The procedure to repair that would most likely kill me.
They said the only thing that could really fix this was a new heart.
So I have an AED. It's a machine that regulates my heartbeat rhythm for me.
I heard my father and Ash arguing. My father was shouting at Ash. I heard fragments of their conversation.
"And you boy you are never to set foot near my daughter again because it is ALL your fault she got a heart attack. You took her out without my permission and without her wheel chair. And look at what happened you stay away from her. You're no good for her. You've already damaged her heart physically you're bound to damage it emotionally as well. Now get out of this hospital before I have to get security on you."
I whimpered in my attempt to speak. Which had failed obviously. And then Ash rushed to my side. "Baby it's okay, you're going to be okay."
I just shook my head as tears formed in my eyes, I smiled sadly at him.
"Our time together with be cut short but that's okay. Just remember our love even when I'm not here to remember it for the two of us." I told him.
"Don't talk like that, you're not going anywhere." He spoke desperately. I could hear how he was holding on, it dripped in every word he spoke.
But he was holding on and I was far too tired to hold on as well. I could feel myself slipping away.
"I'll get you that heart princess." My das said. I shook my head at him and smiled.
"It's okay dad. I'll finally be with mom."
"But if you're together then who do I have? Who do I have to keep me holding on? You can't leave just yet. You have so much more life to live through." He told me so desperately.
I just shook my head as tears slipped down my face. "I'll get you that heart baby." But I noticed something, that was not my fathers voice but Ash's. Too tired to overthink about it I drifted off to sleep.
When I woke next there were bright lights surrounding me. Everything that was happening was blurry. There were doctors frantic around me and I hear the words "last minute donor".
"For me?" I croaked. "Yes, baby for you." My father said.
"Dad I told you not to get me to the top of that list." I said beginning to get angry.
"Darling I didn't."
"Who's heart is it?" I asked. Suddenly I began getting worried. Something didn't feel right. Something definitely was not right. My father shook his head sadly and then the doctors began rolling me away to surgery. I felt myself slipping away.
"Who was the donor?" I heard a nurse ask a doctor.
"A boy named Dylan Ashton Grey."
And i felt my heart hurt. But this time it wasn't because of my condition.
And then everything was fading away.
