Master Kohga, Sooga, and Melloh gathered in the meeting room of the Yiga. Kohga fidgeted with his fingers while Sooga and Melloh stood alert, ready to defend their master.
"Evangelina, working for the king? How disappointing...." Sooga shook his head.
"She always wanted to do what was right. Makes me sick." Melloh added, crossing his arms.
"Whatever! We don't need her anyway. She left for the wrong cause, let me tell you that!" Kohga laughed. "When is this guy getting here anyway?"
"Already here. Now brief me on how it went."
-----"So you turned and fled, is that it?"
Kohga hummed before answering. "Well, if they hadn't interrupted me..."
"It seems, as low as my expectations of you were, I was overly optimistic." The man interrupted.
Kohga got up, in an offended way, while Sooga and Melloh got ready to draw their swords. The man walked closer to them, as Kohga sat back down. He faced the shrine made for their 'special' cause.
"Well, no matter." He walked forward, holding out a gear containing the Calamity. He raised it to an evil Guardian, twitching with the Calamity.
"My Harbinger...show me the future."It made the room shake as the Calamity erupted out of it, swirling upwards. Kohga, Sooga, and Melloh look up in curiosity. The gear began to float on its own as pictures were projected.
A great beast swirled around the Castle, roaring for all to hear.
"The future as it will and must be. I will not allow anyone to alter its course."
---------They slowly descended into the shrine, much of it going dark. Little blue orbs were embedded into the walls, shining a small light on them.
"This is nerve-wracking. Why is it so slow?" Impa spoke up, breaking the silence. Eva tried stretching in the small space, accidentally hitting Link in the arm.
"My bad."
"You're alright."
Finally, they were able to see inside. Inside lay a small matt, which looked like someone had been sleeping on for a while. The racks that were supposed to hold weapons were empty, making the worry.
The platform finally halted, allowing them to step into the real shrine.
"Where is he? He's supposed to be-!" Zelda was cut off, making everyone look over where she was supposed to be standing.
She looked down at them, a dark hand covering her mouth.
"Shh. They'll leave soon and we'll be safe. I won't let them hurt you. Not again."
Zelda shook, fearing what might happen if they did leave.
Link, Eva, Urbosa, and Impa drew their weapons, scanning the shrine.
"There!" Link pointed up. A man with flaming red hair and golden eyes held Zelda by his side, glaring with an unreadable look. His hand covered her mouth as she looked at them with fear.
"How dare you steal her from me! You will pay for your crimes!" He looked over at Zelda and sat her down on the platform they stood on.
"Wait here, please. Once it is safe to come down, I will let you down, okay?" He didn't wait for her to answer, jumping down and turning to face them all. "You'll have to take her from me! She is all I have!"
"Are you deranged?! Do you even know who that is?!" Eva yelled at him, circling him.
"She is the Queen of Hyrule and my fiancee!"
Eva stopped in her tracks, keeping a tight grip on her sword. "Aveil?"
"Who are you and how do you know my name?!" He snarled.
"Aveil, please. Drop your weapons and let us explain everything. This is all a big misunderstanding."
"Liar! Don't try and use your mind tricks on me!" He ran toward her, raising her sword to slash at her.
"Stop!"
He paused at the sound of Zelda's voice, looking up at her.
"Please, let me down and we can explain everything! Don't hurt anyone! Please, Aveil."
Her saying his name seemingly broke him, his face going soft. He quickly shot an arrow at the platform, making it fall. He quickly caught her, setting her down on the ground. Urbosa stood in front of her, sword drawn and ready to defend.
Aveil walked back over to his matt, sitting down.
"Where am I, exactly?"
"You are in the shrine of Ya Nata. I assumed our test was to wake you up and tell you everything."
"Then by all means. I am quite curious, you know."
------------Aveil looked at the ground as Zelda finished talking.
"This shrine was built for you. People prayed to you."
"Not in years. The people of Gerudo town haven't heard his name in a long time." Urbosa said bluntly, looking at her nails.
"My people forgot me. My own people. Why do you want my help then? I am of no use to any of you, especially her." Aveil pointed to Urbosa.
Everyone kept quiet, not knowing what to say.
"Please, leave. I would like to return to rest. Goodbye." Aveil lay on his mat, turning away from them. Zelda walked around to the side he was facing, sitting down next to him.
"We need your help."
"I have been dead for years. I am of no use."
"You do. You can tell us about Ganondorf."
His head jerked up, staring at her. "He is dead to me. He betrayed the Gerudo and is the reason I died. He is and will always be a coward."
"We want to know his true intentions. He was a good person before so-"
"He was never! He always had intentions to overthrow the Queen and killed me! I knew him since we were babies, he was always evil!" He shook, tears coming out of his eyes.
"What happened to my Zelda? When I died?"
Zelda looked to the ground.
"She inherited the powers of Hylia and managed to seal away the Calamity. She married the knight who wielded the sword that sealed the darkness. Now, every generation, they always have a daughter they name Zelda."
"My Zelda was happy. That is all I could wish for." He looked into Zelda's eyes. "I will help you. The only thing I wish for is to live the rest of my life as I should have years ago."
Zelda smiled, placing her hand on his. "As Princess of Hyrule and inheriter of Goddess Hylia's powers, I declare thee released of these confines. May you live the rest of your life in peace and may Goddess Hylia bless you."
Aveil smiled, getting up and helping Zelda up. They began walking towards the exit, Aveil stopping.
"Wait! Forgot my weapons!"
He quickly ran back and grabbed a spear, two swords, and his big and quiver of colorful arrows. He jogged back to them, standing next to Urbosa. He looked down at her, snickering.
"Shortie."
Urbosa whipped her head at him, glaring. She zapped him, him making a little screech. She smiled in satisfaction, walking onto the platform.
"She's mean! I don't like her!"
