Ch.13: Goron Power

"I told ya that monsters have been seen here recently!"

Daruk yelled as he swung his Boulder Breaker at the Bokoblins charging at him.

"Great Daruk! Monsters have taken over the outposts! The Goron Captains are in trouble!"

"Alright! Nothing I can't handle!"

He glanced over to Link and Eva.

"Alright, tiny people! You two are with me!"

Link and Eva nodded as he looked over at Zelda and Impa.

"Stay here, tiny princess! Make sure no more monsters make their way inside the village!"

"Of course!"

Zelda and Impa nodded and began fighting off the monsters.

Eva and Link followed Daruk up the mountain and to the first outpost. Suddenly, a wave of fire came at them. They all quickly dodged it and looked for the source.

"Are you kidding me?! When was there ever a Fire Moblin?!"

The Fire Moblin towered over them as fire surged around it and its Moblin Club. Eva, Link, and Daruk quickly split up and began to attack the Moblin from all sides. It used both hands to swing the club at all of them, managing to knock back Eva.

She grunted and looked at her arm. It was burned, the skin becoming red and wrinkled. She pushed herself up and grabbed her sword, running at the Moblin and stabbing it. She relentlessly attacked the Moblin until it fell over and poofed back to the Calamity.

"Whoa, little Sheikah! You don't give in, huh?"

"Come on. Let's just finish this."

They all continued to take back the outposts and made their way up the mountain. They defeated various enemies, ranging from Octoroks to Stone Pebblits.

They made their way into a small space where a rather large rock sat.

"Here's a place to rest for a moment! You two must be pretty tired!"

Eva and Link watched as the Igneo Talus rose from behind Daruk.

"Um, Daruk?"

"Many Gorons rest here, so it's a pretty good spot!

"Daruk?"

"Now that I think about it, I'm kinda hungry!"

"Daruk!"

The Igneo Talus threw one of its arms at Daruk as he looked behind him. Link and Eva quickly rushed out of the way as it came in contact with the Goron.

The two gasped as the Goron emerged from the smoke, a translucent red shield surrounding his body. His eyes narrowed as he glared at the Igneo Talus.

"I was gonna be nice, but I guess that's not happening!"

He grabbed his Boulder Breaker and charged at the giant rock, letting out a war cry. Eva and Link watched as Daruk slashed and bashed at the Igneo Talus. He jumped on top of it and hit the ore deposit, sending it back to the Calamity.

Daruk panted and put away his Boulder Breaker. He turned to them and smiled, holding up a thumbs up.

"Let's get moving then!"

Link and Eva looked at each other and then the Goron before slowly following after him. They all continued up the hill and to the bridge. Suddenly, a horde of monsters appeared, trying to defend the bridge. 

"Time to get cracking again!"

Daruk smiled as he ran straight into the crowd. Eva and Link followed and began slashing away at the monsters. Link skillfully took down the Moblin and defeated the rest of the foes.
