Chapter 16 - Playing Hard To Get?

I put my phone down and went back to Harry.

"What did Lily want?" Harry asked as I sat back down next to him.

"She just wanted to see how you and I were doing," I said as I leaned my head on his shoulder.

"I heard you say that I didn't do anything wrong..."

"You didn't do anything wrong. It was just Lil being Lil. She's just so sarcastic sometimes that I honestly don't know how we became friends at all."

"I also heard you say for her to get her mind out of the gutter...do you mind telling me what she asked or said?" I lifted my head off his shoulder and got off my bed. I began to walk out of my room.

"Katie, what did Lily say?" He was right behind me now.

"Oh, it's nothing," I laughed. I walked into the living room as Harry tried to catch up. Looking outside the living room window, I saw it was still raining. I turned my head to the kitchen, my brothers weren't in there and the house was extremely quiet...which was getting me suspicious. Harry was about to wrap his arms around me when I ducked and walked towards my brothers' room.

"Come on, Katie. Why won't you tell me?" he asked. I giggled as I began to walk faster to my brothers' room. When I got there, I cracked the bedroom door open and saw my brothers playing with their toys peacefully. Then Harry's hands covered my eyes.

"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say or do will end up in kisses," Harry said. I took his hands away from my face and ran out to the living room.

"Oh, so that's how you wanna play, huh?" I heard Harry say. I was giggling when I had opened the front door and ran outside and into the rain. I opened my arms, tilted my head back and spun around in a circle as the rain was hitting me. Then Harry grabbed me; I was laughing uncontrollably and he joined me. Then I jumped and wrapped my legs around his waist; we were still laughing. The rain was making my vision blurry, I couldn't see what Harry was doing until his lips found mine. The rain dripped off our faces as we continued to kiss.

"Now will you tell me?" he asked against my lips. Instead of answering him, I kissed him again, and again...and yes, again.

"You're never going to tell me what she said, are you, Katie?" Harry asked. I shook my head no as I got my feet on the ground to run...knowing he'd come after me.

"Katie Daniels! I'm going to catch you!" I heard Harry yell from behind me. The grass was slippery against my shoes, I almost fell three times; Harry almost caught me three times. It was the fourth time that I almost fell that Harry finally caught me. We ended up in my backyard. There was a huge wooden playground that my uncle had made for the boys.

"I got you, Miss Daniels," Harry said. We were lying in the wet grass staring up at the rainy sky. I closed my eyes to keep the rain out. Then Harry's lips were at my ear.

"Katie?"

"Yea?"

"What did Lily say?" I sat up and began to laugh.

"You're not going to let that go, are you?"
