"You're the best thing I never knew I needed," I heard my phone go. It was in my room from when Harry had called. Louis and I went to my room so I can answer it. It was a number I didn't recognize but I knew it was a number from around the area.
"Hello?"
"Is this Katie Daniels?" a male voice asked.
"That depends, who's asking?"
"I'm not going to tell you."
I put the call on speaker so Louis could hear the conversation.
"So let's say I am Katie Daniels, what are you calling for?"
"Well, I have this young miss named Lily who says she's a friend of yours."
"I used to have a friend named Lily, but not anymore."
"Well that's too bad because she specifically asked to have you as her help line. But since you're not her friend..."
"Help line? What that supposed to mean?"
"Oh, you know help line. Because I've kidnapped your friend."
"Is this some kind of sick joke? Because if it is, it's not funny and I want you to stop."
I didn't hear anything on the phone for a couple seconds. Then I heard laughter.
"What's so funny?"
"You are, Katie," this time a female voice spoke.
"I hate you, Lily! Kidnapping is a serious matter!"
Lily laughed.
"You know, you may laugh now, but when you actually do get kidnapped, you won't be laughing anymore. I won't even care."
"You take that back!"
"How about you take back all the death glares you've given me the past month and a half. Take back everything you said to Zayn about me."
"Well, I kind of can't do that, Kat."
"And I guess I can't take back that I wouldnt care if you got kidnapped. We aren't friends anymore. I want you to delete my number and all the boys' numbers out of your phone. I don't want you to bother me or the boys ever again."
"You don't really mean that, do you, Katie?"
"I do. I'm sick of all your crap you've been giving me all because you are jealous that I'm dating someone from One Direction! Maybe Zayn would like you if you didn't freak him out with the complaints about me. Maybe Zayn would like you if you weren't so clingy and annoying and sarcastic!"
"Katie, calm down. This was just a joke."
"I honestly could care less. Goodbye, Lily. Never call me again!"
I pushed the end button and saw the look on Louis' face.
"What Louis?" I asked as I put my phone into my pocket.
"I can't believe Lily did that," he said.
"Which are you referring to? The fake kidnapping call or the talking behind my back to Zayn?"
"Both."
"Like I've said many times before, I honestly don't know how we became friends. I'm glad were not anymore."
"And Joee is inching her way towards that direction too, isn't she?"
"No, not yet anyway."
