Chapter 51 - What Are You Two Doing?

Then we heard the front door open. Who could it be? The movie couldn't have been over already. Harry had just called me complaining that Devy was complaining that he couldn't have chocolate.









"Katie? You here?"








It was Joee.







"Yeah, I'm here," I said, still on top of Louis.









"Where? I don't see you."






I got off of Louis and stood up.








"Right in the kitchen."








"Why are your clothes wet, Katie?" Joee began to walk into the kitchen.







"No...no, Joee, stay back."









"Why, Katie?"









"The floor is soaking wet and I don't want you to slip."










"Who's back there? Is it Harry?"









I shook my head no.








"If it isn't Harry down there, then who is?"










"Not to be rude, but why are you here, Joee?"







"Quit avoiding the question, Katie. It's Louis, isn't it?"









"And what if it is?"








"What were you two doing?"









"Nothing. Now why are you here?"











"I forgot something of mine...where are your brothers and the other boys?"











"They are at a monster movie."









"It's totally Louis back there, isn't it? I know you would Skype with him after you would Skype with Harry."









"What makes you think that, Joee? You must have been hearing things."






"Oh, things like I know you have kissed him?"








I put my hands on my hips and stared at Joee.








"So you were eavesdropping on my Skype conversations, Joee?"







She mimicked the same pose I was in.







"Yes, Katie, I was."









"You're starting to act like Lily and I don't like it."








Then Louis got to his feet.








"Girls, stop fighting. And Joee, it doesn't matter what Katie and I were doing because it's none of your business. Just get whatever you forgot here and leave," Louis said.








"His clothes are wet too. What were you guys doing?" Joee asked.









"We were having a water fight, Joee. You happy now? You now know what we were doing," I said.









I was trying not to be too harsh to her because I really didn't want to lose another one of my friends. Joee took her ands off her hips and then crossed her arms.









"Don't you have something to get?" Louis asked.







I saw Joee's mouth drop open. Then she walked off into the living room and grabbed something.








"I forgot my phone. Bye Katie. Bye Louis. See you guys in school," Joee said as she went out the door.
