I was about to sit on the couch with the boys, but Liam had pulled me back into the hallway.
"Whoa Liam, I wanna watch the game too," I said.
"We need to finish our talk we had earlier," he told me.
Liam led me to the back porch. The stars looked so beautiful in the clear night sky. We sat on the steps that led to the backyard. I placed my hands in my lap and looked down; my hair was covering my face and I couldn't see Liam.
"What am I going to do, Liam?" I asked while still looking at my hands.
"You can always stay with us," he said.
"I know. But I meant, what am I going to do about my brothers? They need a father figure in their lives."
"You have us for that."
"Yeah, I know. But what if something bad happens between Harry and I...what if I won't be able to see you guys anymore?"
Liam pushed my hair behind my ear.
"Katie, look at me," Liam said.
I turned my head to look at him.
"Nothing is going to happen between you and Harry. You are good enough for him and nothing is going to change that."
Then I heard Harry and Louis talking from inside the house.
"I wonder where Liam and Katie went off to," I heard Harry say.
"Maybe she's playing another game," Louis said.
"Like what?"
"Maybe hide and seek."
"With two people? That's no fun."
"We're outside!" Liam said.
Harry and Louis had walked out of the house and joined Liam and I on the back porch.
"What are you two doing back here all alone?" Louis asked with suspicion in his voice.
"We were just talking," I said.
"About what?"
I didn't want to say anything because once I said it, Harry would freak out and tell me that he loves me over and over again...not that being told I love you over and over again is a bad thing.
"Katie is worried about her brothers," Liam said.
"Why?" Harry asked.
"She doesn't want them to grow up without a father figure in their lives."
"Well, me and the boys can be their father figures, Katie."
"I know you guys can. But what about when you guys go on tour? Who's going to be there for them then?" I asked.
I watched as the three boys exchanged glances between each other.
"Maybe you could go on tour with us," Louis said with a smile.
