"Louis!" I screamed.
He had his head in his hands.
"Louis!" I screamed again.
He took his head out of his hands as I hugged him.
"Katie?" he questioned; I caught him off guard, "What are you doing here, Katie?"
"I came to find you."
"Alone?"
I slowly shook my head no.
"No. Liam, Harry and Bradley came with me. Why did you leave?"
Louis sighed. "I just had to clear my head."
"So you came to school?"
I took his face in my hands to make him look at me.
"Why did you leave Louis? And I want the truth."
"Harry was right you know, about me. I do always fall in love with the girls he dates. It's not my fault he picks such beautiful girls. But the thing is, Katie, I do love you. It's not a lie. It might have been to the other girls, but not you. You're different from the other girls. You really love Harry, all the other girls were just using him."
"That doesn't answer my question, Louis."
"I know it doesn't and I'm sorry."
This time I sighed. I just wanted to go back home now that I knew Louis was okay.
"Just come home please."
"I can't."
"And why not?"
"I can't face Liam or Harry right now."
Liam? What does Liam have to do with any of this?
"What did you tell Liam?"
"I didn't tell him anything. He found out by listening to our conversation."
Gosh, was everyone I knew an eavesdropper?! I can never have a secret because someone is always listening.
"And he's mad at you for it?"
"Yeah, he is. And I'm not sure if he'll ever forgive me for it. I don't blame him either."
"Louis, running away from your problems isn't going to help anything. Please just come home."
I tried to lead him back to the car but he stayed sitting on the bench.
"Louis! I don't want to fight with you, now come on!" I yelled.
But he just sat there.
"Quit being a baby and come on!"
Louis still didn't move.
"Honestly Louis? Do I have to drag you back to the car?"
His eyed widened.
"You wouldn't."
"Oh, but I would. Now come!"
He finally got up and followed me back to my car. I started this search worried about him and now I was pissed off at him. I slammed the driver's side door shut when I got in.
"What's the matter, babe?" Harry asked.
"What did Louis say?" Liam asked.
"He told me that you know what happened because you were eavesdropping," I said as I gripped the steering wheel.
I didn't have to look at either Liam or Harry to know that they were shocked.
"So you're mad at me?"
"I want to be, but I can't. I blame your innocent looking face."
I heard Bradley laugh; at least he thought it was funny. Then Louis got into the car and it got awkwardly quiet. I began to drive back towards the house. Harry went to reach for the dial to turn the radio on, but I stopped him; music wasn't going to make this situation better.
"Are you okay, Uncle Louis?" Bradley asked.
"Yeah, bud. I'm alright," Louis said.
I looked in the rearview mirror and saw my brother leaning into Louis. Playing back what he had just told me made me mad at him. I couldn't exactly trust his words anymore. When we arrived back home, Devy, Trevor and Matty came running out of the house to welcome home Louis; they nearly tackled him to the ground.
