"How did you find me?!"
It was like my bad dream all over again, except in my dream...they didn't break in.
"You know, Katelyn, it isn't hard to find a house when there are pictures of you coming in out of it all the time," my dad said.
I turned to Louis and saw his expression; he looked terrified and he had the right to be. My dad was scary looking.
"Stand up you two!" my dad ordered.
Louis stood up. I saw my dad staring at the clothes I was wearing.
"And what is this filth you are wearing?"
"Dad, why are you here?" I asked, not bothering to answer his question.
"To take you and your brothers back home."
"They will never leave with you!" Louis said and I wish he didn't.
My dad shoved him to the ground.
"Louis!" I screamed as I dropped to his side.
"I'm fine, Katie."
He propped himself up on his elbows.
"What is your problem dad?" I growled.
"He's my problem," he said pointing to Louis, "and so are the other guys that live here."
"What did they ever do to you?"
I stood back up and stared my dad down. If looks could kill, my dad would have been dead.
"They've brainwashed you with their music."
"You have no right to say that!"
"Why are you dressed like that and why is that thing shirtless?!"
"He's not a thing, dad! He has a name and its Louis!"
"And I honestly don't care. He has deflowered you, hasn't he?"
"No! But even if he did, why would you even care?"
I saw Louis try to stand up again but I motioned him not to.
"Because you're my little girl."
"Oh so now I'm your little girl, eh?" Was I your little girl when you would beat me because I forgot to pick up the blankets in the living room? Was I your little girl when I forgot to do the dishes and you beat me then? Was I your little girl when you decided, oh I'm going to beat my daughter tonight because I'm drunk and that's all I can think of doing?"
Then my dad slapped me across the face and I fell onto Louis.
Louis' POV:
Katie's dad slapped her across the face which sent her falling on top of me.
"Katie? Are you alright?" I asked but I got no response.
"Oh, my poor baby," Katie's dad said as he began to reach for Katie.
"You keep your hands off her!"
I scooped her up in my arms just as Harry burst through the door.
Harry's POV:
"You keep your hands off her!" I heard Louis yell.
I opened the door to see a man and Louis with Katie in his arms.
"Louis, what's going on?" I asked.
"It's Katie's dad. He broke in," Louis said.
Then the man turned around and began walking towards me.
"And you must be Harry," the man said.
"Yes, I am. And may I ask what you were doing in my house?"
"I'm here to take my daughter and sons."
"Well, I'm sorry but that's not going to happen."
"And why is that, Harry?"
"Because Katie and her brothers are better off here than at your house."
"Is that true?"
"Yes."
He was standing inches from now. Without even thinking, I swung at him and made contact with his face.
"Louis, take Katie somewhere safe," I said as Katie's dad had staggered backwards.
Louis left the room with Katie in his arms. Then I heard sirens. Good, the cops are here.
