Zayn's POV:

I'm so stupid! Why did I tell her all that? Why couldn't I keep my mouth shut? Katie probably hates me now and I wouldn't blame her. She had every right to hate me, especially since I had fooled her into thinking I had a girlfriend when it was her that I wanted all along. I mean, of course, if I wanted her that badly, I guess I could have beaten Harry to the chase, but I didn't know her that well. And now, what with living with her for so long, I wanted her.

I saw as the paps tried to get her attention but she blew them off. I knew I had to go in after. She could get hurt or even hurt Harry.

I got out of the car and headed towards the club.

"Zayn, what is going on between you and Katie? Is the thing between her and Harry done? What about her and Louis?" a reporter asked.

"Just back off would you?" I said as I entered the club.

I scanned the crowd of people and I found Harry slumped over in a booth, but Katie wasn't with him. Then I saw the back of Katie's head. She was stumbling around. Then she was gone.

"Katie!" I yelled over the music.

I ran to where I had seen her last. She was lying on the cold floor. Her eyes were slowly closing.

"No, Katie! Stay with me! Don't you do this to me!"

I grabbed her and brought her to where Harry was. He was still slumped in the booth.

"Harry, get up, mate! Something is wrong with Katie!" I yelled.

His head jerked up when I said her name. He look at me; he was definitely drunk. Then he looked at Katie in my arms.

"What's wrong with Katie?" he asked.

"I don't know. She collapsed onto the floor. I don't think we should have taken her out of the hospital, Harry. I think there is something seriously wrong."

But Harry slumped back into the booth.

"Harry! Get up! We could be losing her!"

But he stayed there.

"Fine, Harry!"

I left him in the booth. I should have dragged Harry with me, but I didn't an open hand; Katie was in my arms. I knew I had to get help for Katie, but I couldn't bring her back to the hospital because then they'd know we took her out.

I walked out of the club and camera flashes went off all around me. There wasn't going to be another way around the paps. I knew they were going to ask about Katie and a bunch of other things I really didn't want to answer, because I had to get her help now.

"What's wrong with Katie?"

"Is she a drunk too?"

"What happened in there?"

I couldn't stand the paps anymore. I placed Katie in the backseat of heer car and drove home. No, not our home, her home; her parents' house. When I pulled up I saw lights on in the house. Katie's mom had to be up. I know Mrs. Daniels was a horrible mom, but maybe if she saw her daughter in this kind of state, she might be different. I pulled Katie into my arms and walked up to her house.

Knocking loudly on the door, I could hear Mrs. Daniels say, "Who is it and why are you here at this hour?"

"Please, Mrs. Daniels. Just open the door," I pleaded.

She opened the door. Mrs. Daniels looked like she had been crying. She was in a bathrobe and was wearing fuzzy slippers.

"What's wrong with Katie?"

It actually sounded like she had concern in her voice.

"I'm not sure, Mrs. Daniels. But I think it's something really bad."

She closed the door behind me as I entered the house. Then she went to get the phone.

"No. Don't call 911. It will make it worse. She was already there and we snuck her out."

"You did what?"

"She said she was fine."

"Apparently not. Wait a minute, you're not Harry. Harry has curly hair. Who are you?"

"I'm Zayn. But please, you have to help me."

"How am I supposed to help you if you won't let me call the ambulance?"

"I don't know. Just do something."

I saw Mrs. Daniels walk up to me and put her hand on her daughter's throat.

"Well, she's got a pulse...but it's very slow."

"You don't think she's dying, do you?"

"I would hope not..."

I saw a tear fall from Mrs. Daniels' eyes. Did she actually have a heart? She must have noticed me staring at her because she wiped the tear away.

"Oh, don't mind me. Just been watching what has been happening to my baby girl this entire time."

Baby girl? Was this the same woman to would beat Katie?

"Her room is down the hall."

Mrs. Daniels went back to her couch. I walked down the hall and into Katie's room. I placed Katie on her bed and knelt beside it.

"Please wake up, Katie," I cried, "The boys need you. Your brothers need you...I need you."
