"You got everything? Toothbrush? Pillow? Clothes?" Your father asked as he walked with you out of the house.

"Yes, dad. I have everything." You said for the thousandth time that morning.

"You sure? Do-"

"Benn, stop pestering the poor girl." Shanks stopped your dad from rambling on again.

"I'm not pestering her. I'm just making sure she has everything." Benn frowned at his friend.

"Don't worry, dad. We made sure to triple check that I have everything. Besides New World University is an hour and half away, you can bring anything I forgot when you come to visit me." You smiled up at your dad.

"I know, sweety. I just want to make sure you're prepared. These next four years will be the longest you've ever been away from home." Your dad sighed and pulled you into a tight hug, which you happily returned.

"You make it sound like I won't visit for the holidays or summer break." You chuckled.

"You better or Lucky Roo, and I will drive up to that school and drag you back home. Now give your favorite uncle a hug." Shanks smiled. Your father reluctantly let you go so you could give the red head a hug goodbye.

"You boys better make sure my daughter arrives at that school safe and sound." Benn shouted. The boys in question were Thatch, Marco, and Luffy. Luffy was also attending New World University, so he and his brothers offered to drive you up there.

"Don't worry. We'll make sure she gets there safe." Thatch replied.

"Okay, I'm off now."  You gave your dad one last hug before sandwiching yourself in the back seat of the van with Luffy. The van was packed full of yours, and Luffy's belongings.

"Wait, hold up." Your father called out.

Marco stopped as he was about to pull away from the curb. He waited as your dad ran into the house and came back with something tucked under his arm. He opened the van door and handed you a purple sheep stuffy.

"Can't forget Mr.Dippleberry." Benn smiled.

"Dad." You pouted as you took the stuffed animal from him. You loved the stuff animal, your dad had won it for you at fair when you were a kid. But you knew with the group you were with that you were in for some teasing.

"Have a safe trip, sweety. And text me when you get to school." Your dad pecked you on the forehead. He closed the van door and stood back up on the sidewalk. You waved to him and Shanks as Marco drove away.

"So, Mr.Dippleberry yoi." Marco was the first to say anything.

And so the teasing begins.

"Shut up. I named him when I was a kid." You glared at the back of the blond's head.

"You sure it was when you were a kid? That thing looks brand new." Thatch smirked as he looked over his shoulder at the stuffy sitting on your lap.

"Ace fixed him for me." You mumbled as you held your stuffy closer.

"Ace fixed that for you?" Thatch asked in mild shock.

"Can't be. That kid is destructive, yoi."

"Ace is not destructive. He really did fix Mr.Dippleberry for me." You defended said brother since he wasn't here to do so himself. In truth, Ace was the one to damage Mr.Dippleberry a few years back. He had somehow managed to rip both the arms off and get mud all over your stuffed animal. You were upset, to say the least. It was your most favorite thing your dad had ever given you. So Ace went to his cousin Whitey Bay and learned how to sew. He sewed Mr.Dippleberry's arms back on and gave him a good wash. It was safe to say you developed a crush on the freckled cutie then and there.

"Speaking of Ace, you must be excited to see him." Thatch hummed.

"Did you decide on NWU to be closer to him, yoi?" Marco teased. Both Ace and Sabo attended New World University as well, but they had gone back a week earlier to clean up their dorms and go to some parties that were held before school started.

"NWU has a really good game design course." You quickly blurted out. It was a true statement. Some really good game designers had come from New World University. And you want to be a good game designer too.

"(Y/N), you didn't deny what they said." Luffy pointed out. You thought he had been distracted by the giant pile of snacks he had brought. With a huff, you turned your blushing face, so you were staring out the window.

"We're just messing with ya'. Ace will be happy to see you, too." Thatch smiled back at you.

----
"I'm sharing a dorm with Zoro. Who are you sharing with?" Luffy asked you.

"My roommate is Nami." You replied while staring out the window. The univesity was in view, and there were barely any people.

Ace had told you that most new students that were attending came to school a few days before classes started. While returning students, either stayed on campus through the summer break or came back weeks earlier. So he said it was best if you and Luffy came a week before classes started.

"It looks like we have a welcoming party." Thatch smirked and pointed out the window. Standing on the sidewalk of the parking lot were Ace and Sabo. The blond was holding a sign that said,'Congrats! You made it to university!' on it. While the ravenette was holding a bouquet of flowers.

Marco parked the van and you all piled out, happy to stretch your legs after the long drive. You bounded over to Ace and into his out stretched arms.

"It's good to see you." Ace smiled into your hair.

"I'm happy to see you too." You mumbled against his shirt.

"Look at this lovely display of affection yoi." Marco chuckled as he came to stand next to you both.

"You're just jealous you don't have a cutie like (Y/N)." Ace stuck his tongue out at his older brother. The jester being met with a flick to the forehead. "Ouch!"

"Are you hinting that you two are an item?" Thatch questioned.

"Well, um... maybe?" Ace blushed and looked away.

You didn't know how to reply either. Especially since Ace suggested that you were maybe together. It was obvious to everyone and even you and Ace that you liked each other. You were close to telling him how you felt about him. Sadly, he left for university before you could do so.

"Guys, leave them alone. We gotta get Luffy and (Y/N)'s stuff moved in." Sabo pushed his older brothers towards the van.

"Here, these are for you." Ace handed you the flowers he was holding. A small blush still present on his cheeks.

"Thank you. These are lovely." You smiled at him.

"Luffy, you only packed one bag!?"

"What's wrong with one bag yoi?"

"It's only snacks in here."

"I guess we're coming back tomorrow." Thatch sighed.
