You woke up to the sound off muffled voices. You mildly panicked when you didn't find Ace sleeping next to you. You crawled out of bed and tip toed over to the door. You pressed your ear against the door and listened to the sounds on the other side.
"...you wanna go dart brows?"
"...I'll take you down moss head."
It sounded like Zoro and Sanji arguing. You left your room, curious to know what was going on.
"Morning, guys." You found Ace sitting on the couch next to Luffy, both of them pigging out on some bags of chips. Nami and Robin were sitting at the small table you two had, sipping coffee. Sabo and Koala were standing in front of a rolling whiteboard they must have wheeled in. While Sanji and Zoro were indeed arguing, poor Usopp was trying to break it up.
"(Y/N)-chwan. Good morning my beautiful princess." Sanji gushed. He abandoned whatever argument he was having with Zoro and rushed over to you with outstretched arms.
You ducked under his arms and plopped yourself down next to Ace. Sanji pouted and leaned his head against the wall mumbling something about life not being fair.
Ace snaked his hand around your waist and handed you one of the bags of chips. "How are you this morning, cutie?"
"Still a little tired, but better. What's everyone doing here?" You were curious to know why all your friends were gathered in yours and Nami's dorm. Not that you weren't happy to see them, but the dorm was a little cramped for everyone.
"Coming up with a master plan to keep you safe and find your stalker." Ace pulled you closer to himself and pecked your forehead.
"You guys are what now?" You peaked over at the board Sabo and Koala were standing in front of. You could just make out the words date and time written in green erasable marker.
"Making a plan to keep you safe and catch your stalker." Ace repeated, he took a handful of chips from the bag you were holding and stuffed them in his mouth. "The cops aren't doing anything useful."
"They're doing their best. There just isn't a lot of evidence to work with." You shrugged. You didn't actually know what evidence the cops had. All you knew is that they've been looking around the old photo lab after Ace told Smoker about it.
"Also we shouldn't be poking our noses around in this. Detective Smoker said it's dangerous." You added. While you wanted this matter over and done with, you did agree with Smoker that it was dangerous to get involved. "You guys can't go around questioning people either. Detective Smoker doesn't want the press getting wind about the murderer being my stalker."
Smoker had told you a list of reasons why you shouldn't tell anyone about your stalker. Victim blaming was among many of the reasons he gave you. You already sort of blamed yourself for this whole mess, you didn't need other people blaming you as well.
You did tell your friends about it though. Ace and Nami already knew about your stalker. They didn't blame and you knew your other friends wouldn't either. They also wouldn't tell the press about it.
"Don't worry we'll be safe." Sabo smiled over at you. Out of everyone you thought he'd be the voice of reason, but than again he did want a career as a private detective.
"Plus, we have our first suspect." Koala moved from in front of the whiteboard. Under the word suspect was the name Basil Hawkins underlined three times.
"Hawkins, huh? He is quiet and standoffish." Zoro hummed.
"So are you." You teased. You got of the couch and went over to the whiteboard. You balled your sleeve around your hand and wiped away Hawkins name.
