You looked at the items on the coffee table that Koby had laid out. Disgust and fear bubbling up in your stomach. There was the picture of you and your dad from when you won the science fair in sixth grade. The princess tiara you wore for your tenth birthday. The retainer you thought you lost when you were fifteen. And the red knitted blanket Shanks had given you when you thirteen.

"These are my things, but..." Worry started to settle in the pit of your stomach.

"But, what?" Detective Smoker was waiting patiently as you looked over the items he had found.

"I didn't bring them with me. I left these things at home." You reached into your pants pocket looking for your phone. "I have to call my dad."

You had talked with him earlier in the day. But now you were worried that something had happened to him.

"Don't worry, (Y/N). You're dad is one tough guy." Ace said. He noticed how frantically you were patting yourself down for your phone. "You left your phone in your room."

At that you shot up from the couch and ran into your room. You found your phone under the blankets on your bed, you quickly found your dad's number and called him up.

"Hey sweety-"

"Oh, thank god. You're alright." You sighed in relief.

"What's going on?" He asked, he told someone to be quiet, probably Shanks, as he waited for you to continue.

You put him on speaker phone as you walked back into the living room. You told him what the cop founds and asked if he noticed anything missing or strange around the house.

"There was a break in three days ago. I reported it, but I didn't notice anything missing. I should have looked through your room harder. I'm sorry sweety." Benn sighed.

"It's okay dad. I probably wouldn't have noticed this stuff missing either. I'm just glad you're alright." You honestly wouldn't have noticed the items missing. Maybe the photo since you kept it on the dresser, but you only used the blanket in the winter and the tiara was kept somewhere in the back of your closet.

"I'm gonna call up the local police in your area and have them do a thorough search of your house." Smoker said. Now that they knew what the break in was for, the police could dust for fingerprints and whatever else they would need.

"That's fine. Do I need to be present for the search? I'd really like to come down and visit with (Y/N) while this is all going on." Your dad asked.

"As long as you give your consent to the police entering your property that's fine. I want to search over your place myself, so I'll make sure your house is locked up properly afterwards." Smoker replied.

"Perfect. I'll be there tomorrow morning then. I love you sweety."

"I love you too dad. I can't wait to see you." You smiled and hung up your phone.

"We'll get out of your hair." Smoker nodded over to Koby. The pink haired officer put all your items back into the bag. "These will be kept in evidence until further notice. And if you don't mind, could you look through your room? See if anything is missing."

"Not at all." You went back into your room, with Ace and the two officers following behind you.

Smoker and Koby stayed by your door as you and Ace looked around your room. All your clothes were still in the closet and dresser. Everything you kept in your backpack was still there, the photos you had on your desk still in their right places.

"Wait. He's gone." You lifted the blanket on your bed and moved aside the pillows. You even looked under your bed.

"Who's gone?" Smoker asked.

"Mr. Dippleberry. He's a stuffed animal I've had since I was a kid." You lifted your blanket again, hoping to see your stuffed animal, but he wasn't there. "He was here yesterday."

"We'll need to check for fingerprints. I'll need your friends that were just here to be fingerprinted as well, for elimination purposes. And it'd be best for you and your roommate to find somewhere else to stay." Smoker explained.

You slowly nodded. You were still trying to wrap your mind around the fact that someone who wasn't supposed to be in your dorm had been in your dorm.

"You can stay with me for now. We can call your dad back and get him to put you up in a hotel." Ace wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you into his chest.

---
After going down to the police station to get their fingerprints taken, you and your friends had to explain the whiteboard Smoker found in Nami's room. You were all told to keep your noses out of the investigation. Smoker did say he'd look into Kid and Drake.

Nami was able to stay with Robin who lived off campus in an apartment she shared with her boyfriend Franky. You packed up some clothes, toiletries, and things needed for school and went with Ace to his dorm.

"Sorry it's a bit messy." Ace stuffed the dirty clothes that were on his floor into his closet.

"It's fine." You set your bag down and sat on his bed. You noticed a crinkle sound when you sat and pulled a chocolate bar wrapper out from underneath you. You flipped back his blanket and spotted quite a few candy wrappers. "Into the midnight snacking I see."

"Um, why don't you sit in the living room. I'll clean this all up." Ace moved over to his bed and started picking up all the wrappers.

"I'll help. I need something to keep my mind distracted." You walked over to his dresser and stacked all the dirty dishes he had on their before taking them to the sink. You always knew Ace was messy, it never bothered you. It's not that your boyfriend didn't clean, but he was the type to leave a mess for as long as possible before spending a day cleaning. Or until the mess was pointed out to him.

"Well if you want a distraction, I can help with that." Ace smirked as he joined you in his small kitchenette.

"Ace should we really be doing that?" You nervously chuckled. You weren't nervous about going to bed with him, more so the situation you were in. With a stalker around you didn't know if it was a good idea.

"Only if you want to. I do still owe you that back massage." Ace ghosted his fingers along your lower back.

You thought it over for minute. You didn't want to put your whole life on hold because of your stalker. You didn't know when they were going to be caught. Sure, you were scared, but you didn't want to live in a bubble of never doing anything. And a back massage really did sound good.

"We gotta finish cleaning your room first."
