You put more pastries into the cafe's display case while your new coworker Killer took customers orders. It felt weird not having Hawkins here, reading people's fortunes, but Killer was a nice, hardworking coworker that didn't stalk people.

Bartolomeo had been released from the hospital a few days after Hawkins had been caught, he was a bit upset you didn't visit him, but completely understood when you explained the situation to him. The green haired male had been promoted to manager since he'd worked at the café the longest. His first act as manager was to hire someone to work mornings with you since they were the busiest times at the café. Despite reading fortunes to people, Hawkins would help you with making drinks and taking orders if it ever got too busy.

You had thought that the cafe would be less busy now with Hawkins gone. He had a group of die hard followers that believed he was innocent. Plus, some people had voiced that it freaked them out that they got fortunes/coffee from a murderer. But Killer had a way of drawing in a crowd himself, you could see why. He was buff, his long hair that covered his face added an air of mystery to him, and he spoke politely. He made both women and men swoon for him.

The blond had asked you out, but when you told him you had a boyfriend you didn't plan on leaving, he quickly backed off. He still stayed polite with you though, he wasn't one of those guys that turned into a jerk over being rejected.

Speaking of your boyfriend, Ace was sitting at one of tables, munching on a muffin as he waited for your shift to be over. Killer was doing fine on his own with customers, he even said you could leave early if you wanted to. But you wanted to make sure everything was fully stalked before Vivi started her shift. You checked the small fridge under the counter, it was low on creamers, milk, and milk substitutions. The containers of coffee grounds were also running low.

You walked into the storage room which doubled as a break room. The hairs on the back of your neck stood up and a chill went down your spine as soon as you stepped into the room. You didn't feel this way early when you had grabbed the pastries. But now it felt like you were being watched.

You gazed around the room, spotting no one. You then rushed over to the back door making sure it was locked, the last place you had to check for a person was the small walk in freezer were the desserts were kept. You crept over to the metal door and grabbed the handle, you slowly pried it opened and looked inside. No one.

"Get a hold of yourself (Y/N), you're being paranoid." You mumbled to yourself. You closed the freezer door and went over to the fridge in the back were extra milk and other stuff for coffee was kept. You placed them in the fridge up front before going back to grab more coffee grounds. Once everything was stocked back up, you said goodbye to Killer, grabbed your bag, and made your way over to Ace.

He greeted you with a kiss to the cheek, and wrapped his arm around your shoulders as you two left the café. You had enough time after your shift ended and before your classes started to get lunch with Ace.

"You alright?" Ace asked when he noticed you peaked over your shoulder for the fifth time.

"I don't know. I feel like I'm being watched." You admitted. Ace was the only one you had told about the small voice in the back of your head that something was still wrong. That maybe it meant Hawkins wasn't your stalker. Instead of being dismissive of this feeling, Ace helped you come up with reasons as to why Hawkins wasn't your stalker. When nothing seemed to stick, you felt like maybe you were going crazy. Again Ace was there reassuring you, you weren't loosing your mind. He pointed out you had seen dead bodies and had been stalked. You weren't going to get over that over night.

"I don't see anyone who looks like they're watching you." Ace gazed around the area. That was another thing, if you said something felt off or like you were being watched, Ace wouldn't laugh and say you were being silly. Instead he'd give you a big hug, than look around to see if found anything out of place. "Don't worry. I got you."
