"For the first dance, I am offering it to all couples, friends or anybody who is starting all over again. I hope that this time around, things will be better than the last time. The song for the first dance is Starting Over Again. Please grab your partners." Sabi ni Vanity sa mikropono.

Iginiya na ako ni Chael sa dancefloor. His hand was resting on the small of my back, warm to my touch.

His perfume filled my nostrils as we faced each other. I rested my left hand on his shoulder and my right on his awaiting hand.

I remember being this close to him before and it was still the best feeling etched on my mind.

"You look great."

I smiled. I think we've had this kind of conversation before. "You're not bad yourself."

"So, are you staying here longer?"

Umiling ako. "I'll be leaving after the event. Ito lang naman ang pinunta ko rito. I'll be catching my flight tomorrow."

He nodded. "Of course, he must miss you."

"Hmm?"

"Your fiancee?"

"Ah...my fiancee."

While I am happy that this engaged charade will finally come to an end, I am feeling a bit sad that I'll be leaving again.

Tumikhim ako. "So...you're closing up your restaurant?"

"I'm what now?"

"Hmm...it's sad that you're giving up the restaurant. I think people loved it there." I glanced at him. "Are you moving away that's why you're also giving up your membership here? Ibebenta mo na rin ba ang bahay mo?"

Kumunot ang noo nito. "What are you talking about?"

"Uhm..are you not closing your restaurant?"

"No...? I love that place!"

"And you're also not leaving the club?"

"No..."

I looked over his shoulder to only see Carrie raise her champagne glass to me.

What is happening? Wala naman sinabi si Tabi...

It dawned on me. Their reactions, Calhoun's weird expressions....

I scoffed. "Those manipulative bitches."

The song ended at agad namang pumagitna sa amin si Sir Thunder para alukin akong sumayaw. Chael looked like he wanted to say something more but I was whirled away already.

A couple more dances before I found my self seated dahil pagod na ang paa ko. It was almost dinner time too. I just watched the couples dance in front of me.

Some looked very in love while the others seemed to just just for the sake of dancing. Meron din naman talagang kahit gaano kaganda ng suot at mga sapatos, kapag dalawang kaliwa ang paa, wala talaga.

Kasama ko sa table sila Tabi at Marceline along with other guests. Mukhang nasa ibang table si Chael with the other members.

"Bakit hindi niyo sinabi sa akin na hindi igi-give up ni Chael iyung restaurant niya?"

"We thought Carrie told you that for some reason. Whatever it was, I think it's working. She enjoys her matchmaking stuff you know."

"Tinanong ko si Chael kanina. Nakakahiya. I looked stupid."
