The day has come.

Nasa isang room ako ngayon ng Wallflower. They were doing some wedding video stuff habang ang ibang bridesmaids ay nag-aayos rin.

"You look beautiful."

Nilingon ko ang nagsalita at nakita ko si Willem. He was wearing an all-white three-piece tux. All of the single bridesmaids were looking at him. He is a handsome fellow but I never really saw him beyond family or a close friend.

"Looks like you are more beautiful than me. How are you finding the place?"

Willem got here yesterday for my wedding. He is still thinking about extending his stay here.

"I see why you didn't want to leave this place. It is breathtaking."

"I knew you would understand."

He looked at my reflection in the mirror. There was admiration in his eyes. "This is your day. I really hope you enjoy every minute of it."

"I am. I definitely am enjoying it."

The wedding will be at the Wallflower garden. Nang tawagin kami na nasa ibaba na si Chael, the bridesmaids went down as well. A few minutes later ay bumaba na kami ni Willem.

He tapped my hand. "Nervous?"

I nodded.

"He's at the altar waiting for you. He could have said 'I do' yesterday if he wanted to. That's how sure he is of marrying you. You don't have to worry about nothing."

"What if my marriage-"

"What if your marriage is one that your children will look up to? One that other couples will look up to? Instead of worrying about nothing, anticipate the happy memories that you'll be making with him."

I looked up at him. He was smiling warmly at me. I didn't know Willem had this side of him.

"Crying is for later. You don't want to look like a hag when you face your future husband."

"My makeup is waterproof slash tear-proof."

My chosen wedding song is 'Tahanan' by Adie in a slowed down version.

We found home in each others' company. Sure, we started off as fuck buddies but look at where it got us.

The curtains were opened up and I can see Chael at the far end of the aisle at the altar.

I held on tightly on Willem's arm because I was afraid I might fall. I took my time walking. Hindi naman na ito mauulit and as Willem said, this is my day.

Nang makarating kami sa altar, Willem and Chael shook hands. There were no words exchanged. Just stares like they have a silent agreement with each other.

"This is it." Bulong namin sa isa't isa.

"I actually wrote my vow but I decided to just say it here straight out of my heart. I don't want Google-ed quotes just to sound Shakespearean." Tumikhim muna ito. "Amara, I stand her before everyone important in our lives to promise you that I'll be faithful, that I will love you more each passing day, and that I'll be treating you like a Queen. But you know that I have more unspoken promises to you when its just the two of us. And I intend to keep all of them. I met you when I wasn't looking and I lost you when I finally knew what I was looking for. I have a lifetime ahead to prove to you that everyday, I will always choose you. In any other lifetime, I will always choose you."

Naghiyawan ang mga kaibigan nito nang matapos ito. He never took his eyes off me. My eyes never faltered even when a teardrop fell.

"We weren't looking for love, Chael. But despite that, love found us. It was sudden, confusing, and painful but happy and surreal. Thank you for finding me that night. You always calm me and assure me that you'll be there for me. I always thought we were hopeless cases but turns out, we were just waiting for our time. You're my home now and for the years that will come. I'll never get tired of loving you everyday. All the pain we felt when we were apart has been erased and replaced by a much more happy feeling. Our ride will be bumpy but know that I will hold your hand for every bump ahead. I love you."
