CHAPTER 15

=== A M A R A ===

I woke up from my deep slumber and Chael's face greeted me. Malayo naman ito at nakapagitan sa amin ang magkahugpong na kamay namin.

Wala na ang bimpo sa noo nito. Dahan-dahan kong nilapat ang isang kamay ko sa noo nito at hindi na iyon mainit. Looks like he's well now.

Dumako ang mata ko sa mga kamay namin. His hand felt nice on mine but at the same time it was uncomfortably comfortable. Hinila ko ng bahagya iyon hanggang sa mabawi ko ang kamay ko.

He groaned in his sleep before he stretched out his hand and grabbed my body again. Nanigas ako hanggang sa ipinatong nito ang ulo sa dibdib ko. Sinundot-sundot ko ito.

"Uy, minamanyak mo na ako."

"5 minutes..."

I just stayed still there and waited for five minutes.

"Gising ka naman na eh."

He just responded me with a snore.

Inipon ko ang lakas ko at ibinangon ang sarili ko. 

"Fuck!"

"Sumosobra ka na ha. Ikaw na nga ang inalagaan ko eh. Parang kasalanan ko kung bakit ka nagkasakit."

Inayos ko ang damit ko dahil aalis na rin ako. Mukhang kaya na ng kumag na ito.

"Ikaw naman talaga."

"Anong ako nanaman?"

"I wasn't able to sleep for nights because I was thinking of our night together, Amara."

Napalunok ako. So pareho lang pala kami. I shook my head. 

"Well, nakabawi ka naman na ng tulog ngayon."

He stopped me from walking away by grabbing my wrist. "Didn't I have any effect on you?"

"I'll be lying if there isn't, Chael. Why do you think I was avoiding you? I'm not ready for anything more than a one night stand."

Napasinghap ako nang higitin niya ako. I landed on his lap and his eyes are boring into mine.

"I want more than what I had."

"I'm not looking for a relationship, Chael."

"Aren't you as bothered as I am? I want you more than before. I can't help myself."

"I...don't know what to give you."

"Do you want me?" Tanong nito. Being this close to him makes it harder to lie.

I licked my lips when my eyes landed on his lips. "I...yes..." I sighed in resignation.

Hindi ito nakapagsalita ng ilang segundo.

"Fuck, I actually don't know how to go on from here." Bulong nito. "Both of us don't want a relationship. But we also want each other."

"Let's just enjoy whatever this is until both of us want it."

"A no strings attached relationship? You like us to be fuck buddies?"

I nodded. That's what it is. A casual relationship.

"We get what we want in a relationship without being in one." Sabi ko rito.

We are not in love. We are just intensely, sexually attracted to each other. 

"Do you really want that? Don't people usually fall in love eventually?"

I smiled bitterly. "I tried falling in love. But I never got the true essence of it. I grew to despise love. I will not fall in love with anyone. I will not fall in love with you, Chael."
