A Lukanette Love Story

Chapter 2

           Marinette looks up kind of startled and tries to focus on the person in front of her, she rubs her eyes and focuses. "Luka?" She says with surprise.

         The handsome boy smiled warmly at her, looking as good as ever in his black ripped jeans, his white Jagged Stone shirt, his unzipped navy blue jacket, his beautiful blue eyes, and his black hair with blue tips. Some of his hair was obstructed from view because he was wearing a helmet, he had his guitar in his bike basket and two pizza boxes on the back of his bike. He puts the kickstand down to prop his bike up and gets off the bike, "Are you okay, Marinette?" He asks kindly.

        She watches him as he takes off his helmet and makes his way over to her, she is trying to decide how to respond, with mostly truth or a lie. But she doesn't like lying to Luka, he seems to know what is in her heart even when she can't understand it herself. She sighs and he sits down next to her, the great thing about Luka is he doesn't pressure her to talk, lets her feel what she feels and lends a listening ear if she wants it.

       She looks at him deciding on mostly truth, "No Luka, I am not okay." He looks at her with compassion on his face, "I'm sorry to hear that Marinette, is there anything I can do to help?" She shakes her head and whispers, "No one can help me." And then breaks down into tears. Luka wraps his arm around her and holds her close, letting her cry.

      After a little while the crying starts to subside and Marinette grabs a tissue out of her purse, Tikki looks up at her from within the purse and hugs Marinette's hand for a second before Marinette closes the purse again. She wipes her face off with the tissue and Luka rubs her shoulder in a comforting manner. She looks at him feeling embarrassed, it's not the first time she has cried in front of him, but she feels bad all the same. "I'm sorry Luka, you must think I'm a mess."

       He looks at her and shakes his head slightly, "It's okay Marinette, we all have our breaking points." He says, like he understands what she is going through completely. She internally cringes remembering that he had once reached his breaking point and got akumatized. He turned into Truth all because Marinette couldn't tell him where she disappeared too when she had to be Ladybug, while they were dating for that one week. She doesn't know how or why he forgave her, and things got a whole lot better between them after the Live Your Dreams Villain. But she still feels guilty, she broke his heart and yet he is still there for her.

       Marinette sniffles a little and tries apologizing again, "I'm sorry for ever hurting you Luka, you don't deserve that." He shakes his head at her, "Marinette, it's okay, I understand things better now. Please stop apologizing, I could never stay upset with you. I care about you, you mean more to me than you could know." Marinette sighs, Luka holds her a little closer and rests his head on top of hers. Marinette eyes up his guitar in the basket of his bike, "Luka?" She says tentatively. "Yes Marinette?" he responds. "Could you play me something on your guitar?" She asks shyly. 

"Of course." He replies.
