Mei kept her forehead against Kakashi's while she rested comfortably on his lap. Her nose savoring the faint notes of warm oak and maple. For most of the day, the two had maintained a respectful distance with occasional hand holding or wandering gazes.
Upon arrival, Meilani was informed of the elevated senses most of the Memory Kingdom's villagers had. Isao described it as a type of heightened sense of chakra, and certain clans such as his can go so far as detecting emotions through auras. She made sure to notify Kakashi in advanced, mostly as a reminder to herself to keep her hands from reintroducing themselves to each others body.
But now, with most of the camp asleep, Kakashi snuck into her tent to steal a few passionate kisses. To hold his Princess.
"I can't believe you're finally here."

"Well... Here I am." He smiled with closed eyes. Mei smiled in return, giving another deep kiss. Kakashi's hands slid down her back and to her hips. His fingers grasped them tightly when she pulled herself forward. And when she wiggled herself, already low onto his lap, he held her in place.
"If you don't stop," he warned, his fingernails digging into the small space of flesh that was revealed between her black jonin pants and scrunched up shirt. "I'm going to take you here and now. And I'll need to shove your face into a pillow to stay quiet."
"Promise?"

He growled into her ear, sending chills all throughout her body. In seconds, she was off of his lap and on the floor under his body. Wrists pinned down by only one hand Mei squirmed under his series of kisses to her neck. Kakashi's free hand slid under her shirt to knead her breasts before raising it just enough for him to pepper them with tender kisses.
"Meilani."
Kakashi pulled Mei protectively to his chest, turning his back to the tent's flap as he pulled her shirt down.
Meilani fumed, steadying her breath to answer. "Yes, your highness?"
"A word." Meiji took a few steps to the right as she marched out with her shoulders back. Meiji studied his daughter's right brow and it's slight raise. Her pursed lips hid a slight jaw clench. His mind thought back on his late wife as her arms crossed and her hip leaned right. He shook his head to dismiss the rising memories and addressed Meilani with a hardened gaze.

"Kakashi was given his own quarters for a reason. Any visitors, even if it is a matter of business, are highly inappropriate at this hour."
Meilani's eyes scrutinized him. "That's funny because I remember a late meeting being called last night. And it was you who sent Isao to call me over."
His brows snapped together. "I understand it has been a few weeks since you've last seen each other. But I had hope that for both of your respective missions, you two would be able to contain yourselves for a while longer."
"We are perfectly capable of completing our missions without any issue."

"Good. I would hate to send away a formidable Shinobi, but I will if such improprieties continue."
"Improprieties? What do you mean by that?" Meilani sneered up at the King when he stood chest to chest, towering over her.
"You are a Princess. That may not have a considerable meaning in the Leaf, but you are not in Konoha, Meilani. You are considered a royal on these grounds. And a royal cannot be entertaining a man in the evening."

"A r..... You're delusional, you know that?" Meilani moved aside Kakashi's arm when he urged her away. "How fucking dare y-"
"Meilani," Kakashi gently pulled her into her tent. "I'll handle this."
Meiji stared at the white haired ninja. His expression remained stoic, however Kakashi's chin was level and his eyes cold.
"Meilani was not entertaining me. I was saying my goodnights, and we just so happened to bring up Master Jiraiya's surprise novel release."
"I'm sure." The King retorted. "Before you finish your goodnights be sure to tell her that the next two streams have been cleared for searching. She'll receive more Intel in the morning."
"Wonderful. The sooner the object is found, the sooner Meilani can return home."
"Agreed."

The two men stared at one another, with the determination to be the last to look away. Kakashi was given a slow once over, as if being studied, before Meiji turned to stride. Kakashi ignored his cape brushing his legs as he called to him again.
"One last thing," he waited until Meiji turned. "invade her space again, I'll inform Lady Tsunade of your lack of boundaries. Something I'm sure she would find interesting before she considers any more treaties."
"Is that a threat?"
"Not at all. Just stating a fact. Enjoy your evening, sir."
He watched Meiji leave until he was no longer in sight. Shaking his head, Kakashi peaked in to see a fuming Meilani.
"Who the hell does he think he is?"
