lemme just rant real quick please skip if u wanna

if youre giving hate to someone for writing a fanfic you dont like you are fucking pathetic theres a difference between giving someone constructive critiscism and flat out insulting someones ideas or way of writing just because you dont like a certain story or it doesnt lead up to your expectations or because youre just simply not satisfied. learn!!!! it!!!!!! if you dont like a story at least give critiscism/advice that can actually help people develop into better writers instead of telling them to stop writing god people are so fucking infruriating it makes me so sick if you have nothing significant to say about a story, delete it from your library and never look at it again is that so hard mayb u can go eat a cookie or play darts or something after that to rewars yourself for being cooperative dont be cringey/irritating ok thank u

PS OK SO I REREAD THE LAST CHAPTER YESTERDAY AND I JUST REALIZED??? I PUBLISHED THE UNEDITED VERSION I WANT TO CRY IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE AT ALL IM SO STUPID AND IVE ALREADY CHANGED IT SO IF U WANT U CAN REREAD IT GOD THIS STORY IS SUCH A MESS IM A MESS IM SORRY BYE

chapter 23

"Hey, Luke?"

Luke didn't look up at first. He continued staring at the ground as the two of them walked, their hands together but their fingers not intertwined like it always was.

"Luke?"

The blonde-haired boy's head turned towards her, his eyebrows raising slightly but it was obvious there was a lot going in his head, "Hm?"

"It's just-" Dev started, but cut herself off, sighing and finding no worth in telling him, "nothing. It's nothing. Nevermind."

Luke narrowed his eyes in confusion, his curiousity growing, "What is it, Dev? You okay?"

Dev shot him a fake smile and adjusted her glasses before turning her attention to the dirty, grey pavement. It didn't used to be like this. He was acting so distant. It was scaring her. They were drifting apart, and she desperately wanted to know why.

She wanted to scream. Shout. Anything to let him know that what he was doing to her made her go crazy.

Instead, she kept quiet, because that was the thing she was best at. Keeping quiet.

"Hey, we're almost to the hospital." Luke said, his eyes looking at the big, white building that Dev hadn't even noticed. She was too consumed in her thoughts that she didn't realize how long they'd been walking.

They approached the entrance. It wasn't a busy day. There weren't nurses and doctors rushing around like every other time Dev went to the hospital. It was quiet, except for the occasional patients and nurses.

Luke let her hand go, pushing the door open as her hand fell to her side. They entered, immediately greeted bu the familiar hospital smell that every hospital seemed to have and cold air coming from the air conditioner.

He didn't hold her hand again.

Dev walked to the counter, talking to the lady behind the desk and asking her about Michael. After explaining to the lady that Michael was her brother's bestfriend and finallt convincing the lady to give her information, she didn't speak anymore.

She didn't speak when the both of them walked up the stairs. She didn't speak when the both of them walked down the hallway. He didn't try to hold her hand again, and instead, he walked faster.
