snap out of it

i don't know who that guy is, but i know that he's not felix's boyfriend. last night, felix brought a sign saying "I WANT YOU HYUNJIN," which he would not have done if he was dating someone else. not to mention the heated kissing.

     but it's possible that after my harsh rejection, he's finding comfort in flirting with other guys.

i can't blame him. what i did was stupid and cruel. he did nothing to deserve being shoved away or yelled at. i desperately want to make it up to him. if he gives me a second chance, i'll figure out how to make it work. i won't push him away this time.

and i'll show felix that no other guy can compete with me.

having performed our set list so many times, it now flows out of us like water. we perform "case 143" perfectly and the audience screams and applauds. "chill" runs just as smoothly. for "give me your tmi", i take a deep breath and head over to sit in the first place i ever saw felix. this time, reminding myself not to forget my cue to sing.

i sit with my legs dangling off the stage and smile as i wave at the nearby stays. then i look at felix.

i feel dex's arm sling around my shoulders and i look at him in surprise.

"why'd you do that?" i ask, but he just looks at me with a blank expression. assuming that he couldn't hear me over the crowd, i lean in and ask again, closer to his ear.

     "sorry, why'd you put your arm around my shoulder?"

"i'm testing a theory," he whispers back. he looks towards hyunjin again and i follow his gaze. hyunjin begins his rap right on cue.

"what's your name? tell me
i think i have a lot to ask, so answer me, please
it's just that i have a lot of questions, so wait a minute
let me ask you a few questions"

     he stares at dex with a cold expression until he reaches the last line and turns to me. there is a complete shift in expression and suddenly his charisma is undeniable. he looks me up and down, tilts his head to the side, and lifts his eyebrows with the lyric's question.

     "it's going to take quite a while, are you free right now?" he raps the question as if it's only for me.

     the combination is flirtatious and deadly. my mouth falls open unconsciously and heat floods to my ears and cheeks. i watch as hyunjin gets up and walks away.

     "oh my fucking god."

     i hear dex's voice and after a long moment, i manage to turn to look at him.

     "hyunjin is totally hitting on you!!" he screams as he starts shaking me violently by the shoulders.

      "is he?"

     "dude!! he just tried to rizz you up in front of the whole arena."

     releasing my shoulders, dex turns to the girls standing behind us and pulls out his phone.
