i smile at my phone and quickly text him back.

i breathe out a laugh before texting back.

i click out of the conversation and am about to check my emails when hyunjin makes a cute sound as he reads something on his phone.
"what? what is it?" i ask, curiously.
"you won't believe this," he starts. "let me just show you." he scooches closer to me so we can both see the screen. i get my first glimpse of a groupchat called "SKZ 🔥🔥🔥".

"see?" hyunjin asks excitedly and glances at me to catch my reaction. i'm in shock for multiple reasons. one, over the fact that the video i directed is blowing up on stray kids' tiktok, and two, i'm looking at the stray kids groupchat. i've met the members in person but somehow this feels more intimate. they are talking about ME in their GROUPCHAT. i shake my head to snap out of it.
