The first activity for this trip has already started a while ago. You and Kaveh were chosen to be the emcee for the event. The students were split into 4 groups while you and the other student council officers were on stage.
The next activity is which group can build a tent fastest. 4 contestants from each group will participate. While preparing for the next activity, Kaveh asked the person in charge of the background music to play something so the other students wouldn't get bored.
They chose to play One last time by Ariana grande, and you could hear cheers erupting. You watched as students started to sing. some were more like screaming than singing, reminding you of when you, Kaveh, and Dehya were singing in Alhaitham's car. You nearly got kicked out, but it was a fun experience.
You were taking a video on your phone to keep these moments forever, You were sure you would regret it if you didn't. You were too occupied with the scene in front of you that you failed to notice a certain someone, walking towards you before standing next to you, hands in the pockets of his trousers.
"I can't tell if you're finding this amusing or not." You turn your head to see Alhaitham standing next to you. You weren't expecting him to be here. Especially since he was busy making sure things would go well earlier. You noticed his change of attire. It was more fitted and comfortable at the same time.
"I AM finding this amusing, Haitham," you spoke, exaggerating the am. He chuckles when you give him an annoyed look before turning back to the scene in front of you, falling into silence right after. The sun will be setting soon, and you were excited to watch it set.
"So it is true that music brings people together." You broke the silence. You hear Alhaitham humming before he spoke, "You just noticed?" he questions.
"Yeah? What about you?" You question him as well, not removing your gaze from the scene in front of you as you were still recording, wanting this moment to last forever.
"I've noticed it does, long ago." You heard him answer. You scoff, knowing well that nothing comes unseen with Alhaitham. He wasn't oblivious to the fact your friends are setting the two of you up at all. Instead plays along as well to see how long it will take for you to notice.
