Alhaitham's POV throughout the years.

A small boy with silver hair, and a book around the side of his waist that was secured with his arm, walks next to an older lady.

"What are your thoughts on this neighborhood so far, Alhaitham?" His grandmother strikes up a question while they are walking.

The child pauses for a moment. "It's fine as long as we have a library."

The older woman smiles at him. "Where did you walk up to earlier?"

The boy's eyes remained straight ahead. "I saw signs of a playground and decided to check it out."

His grandmother hums. "How was it?"

Alhaitham hesitates, he wonders whether to mention the girl he met earlier. "I met a girl. She seems to be around my age."

His grandmother raises a brow as the corner of her lips tugs upwards. "Oh? Tell me about it."

Alhaitham presses his lips into a thin line before speaking again. "I suppose I caught her attention since she suddenly ran towards me."

A small laugh escapes from his grandmother's lips. "Unfortunately, she tripped on a rock." The older woman's smile drops. "She fell on top of me, and the two of us fell to the ground."

"Are you hurt?" He heard his grandmother ask, concerned. The silver-haired boy shakes his head from side to side. "Not really. The girl started crying though."

"I patted her head and asked if she was hurt. She said yes while wiping her tears away."

Another smile adorned his grandmother's face. "She said she wanted to be friends with me, but I declined."

The older woman frowns. "Why?"

"I doubt I'll meet her again." He bluntly said. The older woman sweat dropped at how sharp his grandson's tongue was.

An irritated Alhaitham at the age of 8, walks through the halls of their newly built mansion. It was currently his birthday, hence there was a party to celebrate it. He didn't know any of his guests besides his relatives; they were mostly business partners of his parents or friends.
