Your cousin stares at you, confused, "Okay, well, I have to go now and rest. Im going somewhere tomorrow with some of our relatives, wanna join?"
You immediately shook your head as an answer, making him laugh as if he wasn't expecting your answer. "Knew it, you wouldn't-" You stared at him confused when he stopped talking.
"What?" you asked.
He was looking behind you. Curious, you turned your head in the direction he was looking. You spotted the head butler making his way towards you both. He stops in front of you.
"Your father requested for your presence in his office."
"Shit," you cursed.
Kaveh laughs nervously, "Shit indeed,"
"Right now?" You asked. The head butler nods, making you groan. "He wishes to speak with you,"
"Welp, good luck" Kaveh patted your shoulder before making his exit. The head butler then escorted you to your father's office. The walk there was quiet. Too quiet.
Oh, how I love my life. You thought as the butler opens the door to your father's office, closing it as soon as you entered. You faced your father, who was wearing a suit and typing on his keyboard, giving him a smile that was clearly fake. "Yes, Dad?"
You glanced at his face, getting a good look at his facial expression. It was unreadable. It always was.
"Take a seat," You did as he said, sitting down on the couch near him. Archons, save me. You mentally prayed.
"Did you get hurt?" you heard him ask. You mentally face-palmed yourself, What do you think after I nearly suffocated to death?
"And here I thought you spoke to Sir Dain? I nearly suffocated to death, but I'm still alive, sadly." You muttered the last part.
"I've done all that I can to make sure they no longer will be able to go near you. Avoid making any more enemies. Their parents were a hassle to talk with." Your father sighed heavily as he messaged his temples.
