The past few days were well spent. Maybe that's why you found yourself in an uncomfortable situation at the moment. You were starting to think that creating happy memories would mean there would be sad memories after.

You disliked the situation you were in right now. You were forced to get ready for something. Well, that was what you were told. No other information given.

That's how you found yourself, seated inside a fancy restaurant, with unknown guests. Kaveh wasn't here, only your father and aunts. You were sure Kaveh would've made it less suffocating.

You were just listening to the adults' conversation. You soon found out that the three unknown people you were dining with were potential business partners. The two were a couple and sitting next to them was their son.

'Their son?' you thought. Your grip around the utensils you were holding, tightened. You grit your teeth while trying to keep yourself calm. You knew where this was going, why else would you be the only child present? Why wasn't the rest of your family at home present?

'I swear, if this is the marriage proposal they were talking about, I'm leaving.'

"Have you heard the great things about our dear Y/n?" You blinked, turning to your Aunt who had a smile on her face. You knew her long enough to know it wasn't genuine. You were surprised by her words, though your face didn't show it.

"Ah, yes!" The unfamiliar woman exclaimed. "You're a student at the Akademiya, right? It's so hard to be able to study there, let alone get in!"

"My daughter studies hard, she's one of the top students there. She makes me so proud." Your father exclaimed. He sounded like he was bragging about you. Genuinely proud.

Your cheeks are slightly flushed, feeling embarrassed. "Dad, you don't have to-", he turns to you, "You deserve to be praised cause of your hard work and achievements."

You sighed in defeat. You nearly rubbed your temples but that was improper at the moment. You looked at your food, avoiding anyone's gaze.

"That's amazing! You must be so smart. We tried to get our son in, but sadly, he couldn't get in. That doesn't make him less smart to us, though." The woman's smile didn't leave her face.
