Today the Capitol apparently had a special announcement.
It was to be aired later in the day. When Cassie heard this she immediately called Finnick.
"Hey Finnick have you seen the news"
"Yeah course I have"
"What do you think the announcement is going to be?"
"Probably something about the Quarter Quell."
The Quarter Quell happens every 25 years it's a large event where something special happens for the Hunger Games.
That's when the Tv sprung to life startling her. "I'll call you back Finnick"
"Okay bye Cassie" then Cassie hung up the phone.
She looked at the Tv as it began.
"Hello Citizens of Panem. We bring you this special announcement to make you aware of the Special event for this years Quarter Quell."
Cassie sat down eagerly waiting.
"This year the gamekeepers have decided that we shall be reaping a male and a female Victor from each district to renter the arena to fight to the death to become the Victor of the 75th Hunger Games"
The Tv started to turn into a blur, an unnatural cacophony of sounds began to ring. Her empty house made her feel sick so she ran out of her house into the victors village street where she fell to her knees and screamed.
Tiffany came running out of her house to see Cassie in the street collapsed crying into the ground.
"Cassie!" She said bolting over.
Cassie just grabbed onto her and cried.
"Tiffany please don't let them take me. I don't want to go back. I can't go back there"
Tiffany just grabbed onto her and shushed her and stroked her head in an attempt to calm her down.
This just made her worse she stared to sob desperately. Tiffany had to lead Cassie back into her house. She put Cassie to bed as she had collapsed from exhaustion.
Tiffany called Finnick number on the phone.
"Cassie are you alright?" Finnick asked quickly knowing his friend was always in constant fear of the Games.
"Hi Finnick it's Tiffany, Cassie's not doing so well. When she heard she ran out of the house and began screaming I don't know what to do. I couldn't calm her down so I had to take her to the house and she's just collapsed from exhaustion" Tiffany explained.
Finnick began to sigh breathing deeply "To be honest I don't know what to do either we'll just have to wait for the Reaping."
"Okay be careful Finnick"
"I will ,just tell Cassie I'll call her tomorrow but tell her slowly or she'll do that thing where she just shuts down again." Finnick reminded her.
