What Happens when the Capitol decide they don't like the power that the victors hold over the city and the districts.
So they decide to place the victors in an arena together.
Watch as Cassie Peters slowly gains friends in different districts and...
Cassie was going to get out of her Chariot when Finnick rushed over and offered his arm which she shoved away.
"Finnick" she said "Chivalry is dead so don't even try it"
Finnick laughed "Aww poor Cas. Pretty little princess not needing to be saved by a Prince Charming"
"Stop being childish Finnick" she replied.
When they were out of sight he pulled her to the side "Listen Cassie I don't have much time and this is serious."
Cassie paused confused this man had the emotional turnings of a light switch.
"Cassie I'm part of the rebellion of District 13-" he began
"Wait I thought district 13 was completely destroyed" Cassie said. Finnick slapped his hand over her mouth.
"Shush" he shushed. She said sorry with her eyes. "But yeah they're still there but they're underground they reached out to some of us because Katniss and Petta are the faces of the revolution and we need to keep them alive because 13 will try and save us from the arena but they don't know exactly how yet. They're working out the finer details our only job is to make allies with 12 and keep them safe."
Cassie was confused and Finnick could see that she was confused. So he tried to explain it again "If we protect 12 then we're allowed to be free. But we can't tell anyone"
"Who else is in on this?" She asked quietly. "We'll it's me, Mags, Haymitch, Peeta, Joanna, district 8, district 3 and district 11" he explained "And if you agree then you too"
"So if I agree to be part of the alliance I get freedom?" Cassie checked.
"Yes. I promise if you join us the Capitol will never get you again." He pulled out a necklace "Haymitch said to give this to you as well. He wants us to match so Katniss has a way to know who to trust.
Cassie thought it over "I'll think about it. If I agree I'll let you know"
The two got into the elevator and they went up to 10. She was about to go when Finnick grabbed her arm "by the way you look beautiful in that dress" he said then he kissed her hand dramatically and let go.
Cassie smiled and turned around playing along "Why thank you kind sir. Now I'm off to my chambers" she said laughing "See you tomorrow Fin"
"Yeah see you tomorrow Cassie" he managed to say but the door had already closed and he was headed down towards the 4th floor.
Meanwhile when Cassie was getting out of her outfit she saw two gift on her bed. Curiously she opened them. In one was a beautiful white dress and in the other was a tiara, underneath it was a note.
The note said
Dear Cassie Peters
I would like to invite you to a formal dinner with me and my granddaughter tomorrow night. I would like you to wear the dress enclosed to dinner.
President Snow PS. The Tiara is a gift for your interview at the end of the week.
Cassie looked at the Dress and the Tiara.
